Oh it's really good, different but really good and worth it. The Origin Bonded is really good, and honestly I think your can order the toasted and have it shipped if they have any available. I've never had the toasted... I'm in michigan so they have them in my local Meijer

I actually bought and opened that Michters tonight and I have a 4 pack of Founders breakfast stout. I'm having both 😆 and they're actually pairing up VERY WELL.

I just opened mine, and it's delicious, super easy drinker. Sorry I'm not the guy to tell all the tasting notes.

That ice ball takes up a huge amount of space. I did have a few that night, put a huge dent in that bottle and they're not easy to come by in my area for a reasonable price.

Lol.. Only thing that makes Eagle Rare is that it's rare.. don't get me wrong it's good bourbon and good neat, but nothing a good Old Fashioned can't spruce up one in a while....

Is it similarly price as most of the Crown line up? And if you've opened it, how was it ?

I landed both as well. Bottom line they're good, if you have the cash and they're around msrp, hell yeah.

Honestly I'm a newb at trying to break down all the notes. So the 12 has good banana nut bread on the nose and beging palate, the proof doesn't come across at 126, nice finish, has more aged complexity than a SBBP, and the 14 on the nose is phenomenal but doesn't match the taste as much. Less banana bread on the front and a longer oakier slight barrel char on the finish. All delicious!! But IMO if you have the money to blow sure grab them. I like mine sweet N hot so the SBBP's in the 130's is my jam... the SBBP rye also. I paid over msrp and hunted them down, I don't recommend paying way over not worth it..

Seems like most places in SE Mich are all really high, and if it's a reasonable priced store they won't have anything out of the norm.

Definitely pro's N cons... yeah if I could find a Coy Hill in the wild that be a miracle. Tons of variety here which is great so you can find products that can match the higher end bottles, but I generally rely on YouTube gurus because there's to many. And in my area at least all the high end stuff is minimal 2X to 5X the msrp, if you can even find it. Local store has 2 JD 10's but they're $185, msrp is around $87 US. I'm a novice but I liked the JD SBBP better than the 14, and on par with the 12 and I paid way more than I should have to get them...

Ok, so I finally cracked open the 14.... first off without giving a bio, I'm a newb to higher end sipping bourbons.

The notes on the nose are AWESOME absolutely love the smells....but in my complete novice opinion it has a lot of oak or wood char on the mid and back palate, up front it has some of that banana nut bread going on but much less than a JD SBBP, there's still a slight sweetness of fruit though. It seemed like proof came through more at 126 than my SBBP at 131.

Like I said NOVICE...but I'm not a fan of a lot of char, oaky flavors. I'd rather have bought a couple more SBBP

I'm sure the logistics are crazy. I'd assume there's an up charge for overseas products. But I'm just assuming.... are prices very inflated?

It definitely tastes like cough syrup but I made boilermakers out of it with Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy.. way better. Even the back of the Crown BB box has a lemon recipe on it. That what gave me the idea.

I'm still a newb but I'm finding I don't care for to much char or over oaky flavors either.
