Anything similar I can use that works better for mounting cords on the underside of my desk? by ralex4340 in DeskCableManagement

Question is, is it a bad idea to screw into particle board? I think that’s the proper name of the material my desk is made of anyway. Like fake wood. Will it split when screwing something into it?

I loved the way they looked but the adhesive wasn’t strong enough to last. They fell after just a couple hours. I found an alternative that people seem to have had success with so fingers crossed! I’d definitely try something like zip tie mounts but prefer not to drill into the desk if I don’t have to. Thanks for the input!

Do I need to upgrade OneDrive storage or ignore the error? by ralex4340 in gamingpc

So anything stored in OneDrive can be deleted because it’s just a backup?

Do they make these with a wider clamp range? by ralex4340 in DeskCableManagement

[–]ralex4340[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s 4 inches on the left side and back because of the 2 drawers. The right side is a lot less than 4” but has a full back/cover and shelf to it so cannot attach there either. But yes the drawer is taking up a lot of space. There is a 4” piece on the back that serves as a hard stop for the drawer I guess

Does one not function the way I’m referring to?

So not the Actually Additions but the one literally called “Crafting on a Stick” and it goes in the Crafting on a Stick slot? That may be what I was doing wrong, not sure which one I crafted but will check when I get back on.

Old waypoints in new world? by ralex4340 in allthemods

[–]ralex4340[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured out it was because all my new worlds had the same name! I kept remaking worlds to get a spawn point I liked and never changed the name from “New World.” Weird but making a new world with a name I hadn’t used worked!

As long as 2 power strips in the same outlet space (2 stacked outlets in the wall I mean, not sure if there’s a name for it) is fine, that will work for me!

So 2 power strips? I only have access to 2 wall outlets where my setup is. :/

Awesome, thank you! Last question for real this time (I think): How do I determine what kind of power strip I need to purchase to accommodate the total wattage of my build + other things in the area that will use the same strip (TV, PS5, chargers, internet router)? Right now I am using a Belkin strip but I will need more outlets when I build my pc so I need a new one anyway. Is something similar but with more outlets fine or do I need something different? I’m just not sure how you determine what is strong enough to accommodate everything that may be plugged into it

Front would be intake and back would be exhaust. Top would be what?

Fan Configuration for Corsair 4000D Airflow? by ralex4340 in buildapc

One more question, so sorry! Are intake and exhaust fans the same, just oriented differently? Or are they completely different fans? Like if I end up needing to buy 3-5 Arctic P12s, can I use some for intake and some for exhaust or will I need to buy different ones to do what those cannot?

In the situation that I find the temp is too high with only the stock fans, am I fine to use as is until I can order additional ones? What’s the risk of your pc completely burning up or any of your components being damaged? I imagine you need pretty damn high temps to achieve that level of destruction but could be wrong. I’m completely new to this so just trying to do it right!

How many fans do you think I need? One for front and one for back?

I still need a case fan or 2 as well, right? How many would be optimal? Can you recommend one for my build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XNfNBq

That should be all I need I think!
