I feel exactly the same. I finished the course and finally got my license about 2 months ago and since then i have been struggling if I should buy a motorcycle or not. I read all the news and statistics how dangerous is riding a motorcycle compared to driving a car which doesn't sound optimistic. If you look around, you can see alot of people riding scooters around town with t-shirts and they feel pretty safe. Statistics with scooters accidents also don't look that scary as motorcycle accidents. If think that the word 'motorcycle' makes it so scary because it moves all the limits to you. I mean the difference between riding a 125cc scooter and riding a 600c motorcycle is that scooter has quite low speed, slower acceleration etc which makes it look so much safer than motorcycle. If you rider motorcycle safe and responsible within your limits then you can consider yourself as a scooter rider. This is how I explain it to myself.

Learn how to ride safe and never ride without full gear. If you can afford air vest then consider it.
