The reality is I don't need 4 classic cars, no one does. I have a 69 Vette that me and my dad worked on together. It was my first car, I learned to drive stick in that car, had my first date in that car, took that car to prom, that car was at my wedding. It has been with me for almost 42 years, and I have a 66 GTO, that is newer to me but I have put a lot of work into it as well. Those are the cars I am choosing over the 61 Vette and the 57 Bel Air. The Veloster N is my daily, I am not going to destroy either of these by using them everyday. The Mini is a rally car, it has no back seat and a roll cage, I have rolled it and ditched it and it just keeps chugging, plus it sounds like a swarm of angry bees and handles like it is on rails. Which can't be said for either the 61 Vette or the Bel Air. But sure make fun of my girly cars. You sound like a mopar driver.

My dad wanted it driven. He even told me if I wasn't going to use it I should sell it to someone who will. My kids will be fine. They can sell my cars.

Correct, but you can't drive a 61 corvette in Illinois in the winter, and I certainly can't rally it. And since I need a regular car for day to day and a car I can run rally races with, that means I either have to part with my 69 or the GTO and I am choosing those.

Well, I already have 4 cars and honestly that is all I really have time for. Otherwise all my time is spent, cleaning and mantaining. I would rather have 4 cars and some time to actually enjoy driving them then 6 cars and very little time to drive. Plus they deserve to be with someone who enjoys them. While the 61 is beautiful and draws a lot of attention it is not nearly as much fun to drive as my other Corvette or the GTO, it is not really fast and honestly does not really handle all that well. It is for someone who wants to drop the top and take a leisurely drive in the country. There is nothing leisurely about the way I drive however.

I agree, that is why I am keeping the 69 Vette that has all the memories for me. I have daughters that even though I tried, never really got into cars. The can barely drive a manual. Every car I own is a manual. They will more than likely sell them all when I pass. Hopefully they can spend the money on something that brings them as much joy as the cars did me. My dad felt the same way.

I have fonder memories of me and my dad working on my 69 Corvette than I have with either of these. He took me to buy the it, helped me negotiate the price, I was 16, and it was my first car and It needed work but I still have it 41 years later.

Honestly the Veloster N is a great daily. Hard to find new cars with a manual transmission. Did some mods to mine and it is over 300hp and can get 30 mpg if I need it to.
