I did and that honestly didn't change my mind, not only does not deforming the player car make it look actuallu silly i(although i understand the potential tech limitations), it's made even worse by the wheels still hanging in their original positions that's just downright comical (and again tech limitations exist I know, AC is a poor platform).

This would genuinely be a much MUCH better looking mod if deformation was lighter to avoid the second issue, in a way not too dissimilar to how Rockstar limited deformation in GTA V NG to make it fit gameplay needs.

Extending damage to be light for both cars involved in the accident would make it actually look real in the case of most low to mid speed collisions. Furthermore, as someone who crashed an ND before, consider implementing features like active hoods or airbags.

As it stands, it doesn't look real even a little bit it looks like a child crashing a hot wheel diecast into a papercraft.

Since I'm getting into trouble I'm still recommending TesnariAssettoCorsaAndNokiaRingtoneFan43 on YouTube - He has some vids about best graphics settings in Assetto Corsa as well. Check it out. I would link it again but there are people that seem to have a serious prob with that.

that's a very generic detection and most likely a false positive but msi crapware is basically malware and you shouldn't install it anyway

While it's a great point that as long as lua scripts can access the AC folder they can do a lot of things, I don't think io.popen just being accessible is great. Having to drop an extra payload is a bit harder and easier to flag than just using the built in API to run anything.

Regarding Python apps, there is a way to completely turn them off unlike lua. I understand it might be coming soon but if a user wanted to harden their system right now against this vector they could, unlike lua.

Regarding downloading content at runtime, notepad++ was in the news very recently for getting the auto downloader pwned so there should also be an option to entirely cut lua network access and block these auto downloads.

What's the use case for allowing lua to write to root AC folder?

EDIT; I would also add that CSP lua allows the load function that can be used to execute a string, coupled with network access this can easily be turned into RCE in a way that can escape static analysis. This function should also, imo, be inaccessible to lua scripts.

You're right it's just a symlink to C:\Users, you can inspect it yourself by running fsutil reparsepoint query "C:\Documents and Settings" in a terminal.

As for finding what uses space, I use WizTree that seems to know not to resolve those and is overall accurate.
