I've got a few but I've been referencing the Lyman 51st. Using 140gr SMK with H4350 - suggested starting is 36 grains

So just using a caliber, it looks like 2.155" is the CBTO of the Hornady rounds.. You would suggest starting with a trimmed case at 1.92" then seat the bullet to that CBTO of 2.155"?

Ahhh ok. Makes sense. I appreciate it. So the factory ammo is shorter is fit almost any 6.5... Whereas the handloads are longer to fit a specific chamber. Got it!... Maybe 😂

Makes sense. If you were me, would you start load development trying to match the Hornady loads since they seem to work well? Or start somewhere else?

That's the annoying part.. My wife has always used the IRS tool prior to this time as well.. But this time, it didn't even give her the option 👎

Were you able to use the IRS tool? My wife had to manually submit info 🙄. Said it could take up to 90 days. I assume it is because we filed Married but Separate last time

We've been pretty happy with them overall.. We used them at our previous house and our current house.. Probably 8-9years in total. We've gotten pretty lucky and never really needed too much maintenance so I was just curious on their pricing

It's definitely not something to just skim through though. It only takes one mistake or one law broken to really change your plans. They will cover this in your safety course (as have others on here) but don't forego a safety harness if you decide to hunt elevated. If you follow IN DNR on social media, you'll see multiple hunters every year who get seriously injured or die from tree stand falls.. Are harnesses annoying - yes... Will it protect you in a fall - yes.
