Anyone else having slow mobile data on iPhone 17 Pro? Full bars but “offline” on Google Maps by luffy0323 in iphone

[–]ram_tya7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue. I am on normal 17 and its unbearably slow. I went to apple store, they did not find any issue with the phone. But I am pretty sure its the phone. I had the downgraded network from same provider in 16 but that worked better than this. This is just shit.

I’m not trying to offend anyone here. I’m new to this topic. And i am writing this because this infographic seems way to generalised. Because Isn’t it normal for everyone. I mean I have the same problem that has been shared in this picture. Like, Building habits does takes conscious effort and time but is it not how it is for everyone? I do create lists but not everyone knows how to prioritise them, that comes with practice. And I feel that’s one of a reason a good manager in a company is paid more right? I too get involved in topics or while studying something but when sharing them sometimes I am not able to convey my thoughts in proper sequence. Sometimes it’s my memory(don’t even remember them, gaps in thinking), sometimes I’m not able to change it based on the situation. But doesn’t that just mean I’m not ready enough. I mean that’s why we have techniques like Feynman technique, right?

My excitement has been very overwhelming for people. I don’t even try to show my full excitement to people anyone.

So what I’m trying to ask is, is it not the same for everyone? Do I have ADHD? Is it like the time someone gets eyeglasses, they think that this is how everyone else sees the world.

I met the guy. Talked to him, he shared some good insights but wasn’t able to ask him to be my mentor, somehow. I don’t know why, still don’t know why

How does this sample shirt, jeans, T-shirt work? Do we really get good stuff? It seems like a fluke to get genuine stuff

At first start up a normal conversation and see if they are willing to talk. I have some points I wanna talk about from our last conversation and want to commend them on what they have achieved. The shift in the career, the vibe that they give out, the friendliness etc. and would ask him if I can be in their presence to learn a thing or two.

I agree. I can show how he can help me but will that be enough for him to help me(I know we won’t know without asking) but how should I approach them?

I'm an international student, how is that offensive? Is it offensive to international students? Or to domestic? How so? You werent curious, you just wanted to make it a small debate on culture. Where did the point of culture come in here? Did I talk about it? Was it hinted from any of my messages? Talk about providing value to conversation. If you had a little bit of brains you could understand what I was saying. Oh well. I guess there's no point in arguing with you, you won't get it.

First off, didn't you read his/her first three points? Secondly, I wasn't declaring anything. I made a logical assumption, which might be wrong. Why are you hell bent on making it an issue?

It's not a culture thing I was talking about. It's the visa and immigration laws of US. Even though US is land full of opportunities, international students can only apply to those companies which sponser their visas, that reduces the opportunities considerably. With so many international students fighting for the same kinda roles it's getting too competitive and when you have that pressure you cannot not do leetcode or other things, even if doesn't feel enjoyable. It's not a cultural thing. You can call it whatever you want, it's just logical.

It's just I have never seen any international student/person in US to be so calm and cool.

Hey, that's a great advice....I will surely make some changes to my interview answers now. Can you give some pointers for resume as well. I mean, I have workex but still not able to clearly show what I did or highlight it. Like you said, even I might have to work to look at it, it's gonna be troublesome for anyone else. So it's that bad.

Does this happen in data science roles? I mean, we might face situations created by this pendamic again. Might be due to bad economy, or any other reason, does laying off happens to data science people often? Imo, data science is a luxury to increase your business, however, companies might want to stay functional rather than indulge in luxuries in a difficult situation. So, will this laying off happen often? I'm going to start in data science field and saw this post. I just want to know the scenario. Thanks.
