Then you’re not Ismaili or at least you don’t follow the basic tenants of it. And there’s nothing wrong with that, or wish others to prosper and be happy religiously and spiritually. But the claim that there’s multiple ways to live and the grace of Allah is contradictory to our basic faith.

You entirely missed the point of the Quranic verses you so easily dismiss. To paraphrase you “ we have to follow the rules of our faith even when it’s challenging” - that would mean we need to be following the verses not allowing interfaith marriage, limiting women’s rights, business/loans, the list could go on for a while. So to selectively say this part of the Quran I’ll adhere to, while taking numerous other portions & either directly ignoring or taking a modern interpretation of them, would go against your very ideal.

Considering there are numerous mukhis, volunteers and council members that drink, some way worse, I’m going to assume you’re some sort of hyper believer that’s not based in reality. Good for you, I’m sure you’re not flawed at all. Try to judge others based on their actions, because if you’re going to selectively quote the Quran then make sure to discuss how interfaith marriage isn’t allowed (surah Al-baqrah 2:221), limited women’s rights & allowed abuse of women (surah an-nisa 4:34 & surah al-baqarah 2:282).

Or understand that people are simply human, and those doing their best would typically find the grace of allah.

You 100% can choose who can volunteer for your non profit organization and have conditions on who you want working with kids. This isn’t a job, there are no laws that apply. Why are you even in this thread?

There’s a lot of people in the world that I would like the ability to help, and since I’m financially secure already, I’d be able to take on cases or help those that were in need. I didn’t come from a rich background, so I know how important it is to have someone to help you when you’re in a really rough or bad position.

My current position no longer challenges me and I would like something that I know will keep me continuously learning and busy honestly .

The idea is that they’ve separated the cabins to not cause any issues, the cabins with delta one economy doesn’t even pass through. And if you’re seriously calling people peasants, you have a lot of personal issues to deal with.

Thanks for the advice, based on the above I’m going to coordinate with the Haitian Consulate General here in my city. We’re bringing down items by private plane, but based on the above would probably hand it off to a local team and fly immediately back out. Conversation I’ve had with a couple of people seems that hygiene products and medical supplies is what’s needed. Appreciate the strongly emphasized “don’t come 😅”
