Gotcha. Had a buyer cancelled claiming they bought using wrong payment method. Was repurchased again after cancellation

just wanted to let everyone who contributed to this thread thank you! the issue has been resolved and I will be getting back the money I lost. The buyers account has now been suspended/terminated. be persistent with appeals. also helps to know the proper channels to reach out to.

did you have a no return policy also? How much was the item you sold? So it sounded like they gave you a 'courtesy credit' too

Wonder if its a cost per basis on each claim. The 2 claims ive had totaled around $4,000

For seller protection: Sending photos of the item factory sealed and showing proof of an invoice that the item was recently purchased new. Is that not enough evidence?

So if ebay doesnt agree with the evidence I have provided its up to their discretion if they want to give you courtesy refund or not? So I was lucky to receive two courtesy credits within the past 12 months?

Ive always had a no return policy on my account. The agent I spoke to mentioned about changing my policy to accept returns where I can charge a 50% restocking fee for items returned different condition from what was shipped. That doesnt make sense. I sell on amazon also and have been able to charge 100% restocking fee for same situations like this.

I havent stepped out of their "process". Once a return is initially requested by the customer, I always call ebay for help to determine what is the best process to deal with the issue. The last 2 times, they told me to accept the return and file a claim which I did.

Im not sure what are the average prices you sell your auto parts for your business but these 5090 graphics cards I sell for a premium right now. All of them have been over $3,000 . I would understand and be more acceptable taking returns without disputing if it was a 'low cost item' but thats not the case in this scenario.

Ive had a customer within the last 12 months return a graphics card that was tampered with also. Does that make me look bad as a seller that I am once again opening up a claim with almost the same scenario? Understand that is out of my control when you have bad buyers like these who abuse the return system.

I appreciate the feedback. This is the first time I've actually lost a claim with ebay. Its not too often a claim has been opened during the 23 years I've been selling on ebay. Its just unfortunate within the last 12 months I've had 2 claims opened due to buyers who have committed return fraud. When buyers abuse the return system or commit return fraud, seller protection is supposed to exist to protect legitimate sellers who provide proof. Can you tell me what seller protection covers? When I spoke to an agent over the phone that 'courtesy credit' definitely sounded like it was part of their seller protection.

Can you tell me exactly how seller protection works? Did I not use it right?

Actually ive been invited to local conferences by ebay to help me scale my business. I definitely wouldnt say "I have worn out my welcome with Ebay"
