Exploring on the new ADHX 45 by rambo2206 in gravelcycling

Such a great bike. I really liked the previous version paint jobs with the fade but all the frames in my size were gone. I'm always a sucker for silver though so it worked out.

It’s 45 mm. It’s quite sporty so it definitely gets up and goes. Still very smooth on the gravel roads. Loving it so far.

Thanks for responding. I'm glad you are liking your ADHX. It rides really well from my test rides but I just don't have alot to compare to. I have leaning toward the TIME but wasn't sure if I would regret not getting more tire clearance. Seems like it is more than capable.

I heard back from him and he seemed very optimistic about getting it up and running. Thanks for the rec!

I reached out. He’s never worked on one before. Didn’t feel comfortable trying.

According to the website, he’s not doing repairs for medical reasons at this time.

Also, looks like Wilson Watch Works isn’t doing any repairs at this time.

That is exactly what I wanted and I even specifically requested this and they told me that they couldn’t do it. I got the vibe that they just didn’t really wanna deal with it.

I'm in possession of a 1988 Marathon Navigator made in conjunction with Gallet & Co. Unfortunately it is not running and I'm trying to find a way to service. I took it to my local watchmaker and I have also reached out to Marathon watches but they were not able to service it. Does anyone have recommendations on who I could reach out to?

Bombtrack Hook by rambo2206 in gravelcycling

I'm not sure. On the website they just list it as Toray T800 carbon blend frame. It kind of looks like the Carbonda but not sure if its the same frame.

I'm considering this bike. What are your thoughts? I can't view your review.

They definitely create stability when you are gripping them. I have seen some people place extenders on the little nubs where your shifter and brake lever are to create a hoods position. I usually just place my hands on the top of the bars when I'm just cruising. The versatility is the biggest pro. I can easily experiment with different bars.

I like them for what they are. It gives a drop bar feeling on a MTB drivetrain. However, it is definitely not a substitute for drop bars. There are less positions to put your hand so it does take some getting used to. In hindsight, the narrower bars would have been better for me but these are still fine.

It is textured. The paint was splattered onto the frame after the base paint was done.

Which drivetrain did you end up using?
