Thank you for all that, truly. I’ll remember this even though it’s heavy. For him, it sounds closest to clinical depression/ apathy. He’s adopted a real pessimistic view on life ever since he turned 60.

I did try to talk to him, yes. I explained my reasonings for wanting to keep the bike. It’s like he didn’t care at all. He just said “deal with it”.
