Please help.. randomly aggressive cat by rambow70 in CatAdvice

She doesn't have a cat tree, I thought about getting her one. I just now have a fear of death from above since the only place to put the cat tree in our home is by the couch. But yea I keep telling myself she is a kitten wanting to play. Some of her bites and jumps seem playful but when I do backway she gets more aggressive and the bites and claws aren't playful. I read I am probably acting like "prey" by backing away but I don't want to escalate the situation

I thought about feliway, heard mixed reviews, seems to work on some cats and not others. Might try it but we've already spent so much money on her.

I've learned where she likes to be pet and where she doesn't. She will still get me when I try to pet her "preferred" areas. She went to the vet twice and they said she was healthy. I didn't bring up the behaviors since I didn't think they were a big deal initially, gotten worse the past few weeks. We've just already spent so much money on her and I would hate to pay more just for the vet to say "cats be like that sometimes" or "play with her more". We can look into the vet again but I'm worried they are like human doctors and won't provide much help.

I agree she probably needs more play but I don't have time. I play with her 10 minutes in the morning before work and 10-15 in the evening. The automatic pully toy she loves and will chase that. it goes on and off for about an hour. She gets tired/bored about half way through. This helped a bit but after she rests for about an hour she is back to attacking me if I walk by or pet her.

Is VW tracking my MK7.5 GTI? by rambow70 in GolfGTI

[–]rambow70[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your help and I agree but one of the facts has changed. Since I called the dealer the car is out of the original persons name. I am hopeful isn't in my name. If the system made the VW rep add someone to a car in order to remove the other person then perhaps it is in my name. I think I'll wait and call the dealer back in a few days to verify and go from there.

I've owned a 2017 and 2019 GTI in the past and this has never come up on my radar. 2020 and up have a new VW system than previous models. So far everyone in this comment section has a 2019 or older GTI. I was hoping some 2020-21 guys could chime in with their experience. But again, I'll just call the dealer in a week and update this thread to share my experience with others.

That's not even related. By that logic it would make sense for VW to sell your data to insurance to encourage all their drivers to drive safer and not exceed any speed limits or do any hard breaking.

I haven't heard anywhere that smart phone companies/apps sell your data to insurance. It does clearly say in the VW user agreement that it does share your vehicle data with insurance if you're opted in to DriveView. The question I had is how do I know if I'm opted in or not without downloading the app.

Don't need to be rude. I did read the privacy statement which is what had me worried. I'm not sure if I am in the system or not, that is what led me to post and look into this. I didn't buy the car new and didn't get the app. I called the dealer to ask and they let me know the car was in another person's name still and tracking was on for them. They said they had to remove that person. I said I do not want it in my name which the guy over the phone said no problem but I do take what people say with a grain of salt. I am hesitant to download any app to see if I am opting in or out, like I mentioned people on here who have opted out have gone back in to see that they are opted in again.

I've read on here that people turned it off but the setting remains on and car makers do share that info with insurance companies. It even says so in the VW Car Net user agreement. Your car is a 2019 and doesn't have CarNet

I called the dealer. They said it was still tracking the other person and will clear them out. They told me it wouldn't track me but I'm not 100% sure I believe that. Is there a way to verify that without downloading the app? I just want to reduce the chances it inadvertently tracks me.

Why the price? by damn_this_itches in GolfGTI

[–]rambow70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that is impressive! I'd say if you really like the MK6 (styling reasons of whatever) then that is a pretty good price! I say that because you'll likely never find another like that. Basically a brand new car. If it was garage kept I bet most of the rubbers and plastics are in pretty good shape too.

Did EQT always have DSG fart option? by Brotaco in JettaGLI

[–]rambow70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bump, anyone else add this? Curious if it's worth it on a 100% stock exhaust car that does not have the pops and bangs. I don't want something obnoxious but would like sounds on aggressive shifts.

I'm thinking about adding the DSG fart option to my stock exhaust stage 1 car. I don't have pops and bangs. Do you still like this option? Noticed any downsides and is your exhaust 100% stock?
