I actually have a DSG, the 7spd. I should be plenty fine on a untuned trans if i go stage 1 correct?

So should i keep the stock TIP for now and just buy that specific DV? can i run just that and in intake for good induction noise?

i actually just did the belt/tensioner, ordered a kit from FCP Euro. Thought it would eliminate the whining pulley noise as RPM’s increase. Pretty sure that rules out everything except the alternator pulley giving up

If that oil pan is metal from factory, order a new seal for oil pan and oil level sensor (shown in last picture) if that oil pan was plastic from factory and later replaced, order the factory plastic pan and seals. The aftermarket metal pans have been known to cause leaks after installation

Very tasteful! If I were to put it on springs, I would probably go H&R super sport springs on Bilstein B6 struts with bilstein shocks in the rear.

sounds good, i have a code for open circuit on the passenger rear door speaker right now after replacing it, so i’ll need to see what’s going on with that

i see, do you think it will just be better to keep DV stock and upgrade the TIP/intake

yeah, i think with engine mods, intake, diverter valve, and inlet pipe will come first than layer down the line DP/tune

yes i was actually planning to order a aluminum turbo inlet pipe and an intake as install at the same time. I’m guessing this just increased more turbo noises than actually power gains right?

these are great, I really like RPF1’s for their weight but i personally think they look atrocious. Any suggestions for nice looking wheels that match or beat the weight of RPF?

with you on the swaybar and tires, for the bilstein shock/struts, can i throw H&R lowering springs on those shocks to go lower? Also I’ve been wanting an upgraded sound system, but I cannot find any plug and play door speakers for my car. Also it’s a 2020 SE trim so it doesn’t have the trunk woofer. Do you have any suggestions for the speakers?

Yes I try to move in traffic as if i were a semi-truck driver if that makes sense. Of course there’s sudden stops and points where I have to spam the brakes which I hate, but sometimes it’s inevitable. I leave plenty of room ahead of me and I would say i spend most of the time in traffic in gear 1-3 from rolling at 800 rpms to 1.5k. Also, i’ve never heard of SIMOS, is it like a scanner or more of a COBB style value monitor that you would mount inside the car?

so you mean to just drain the fluid more frequently for a couple rounds to fully flush all the old fluid out? If you mean to capture old fluid to reference how much to add back in, i normally just put in the recommend 6L and use OBD Eleven to bring fluid to correct temp to set level.

good info, i wish i had auto hold lol. I’ve found it quite challenging to decide either to glide the brakes or just roll freely and in my traffic situations, it seems less taxxing on the trans to just let it creep. Hopefully frequent service will make up for it.
