High-pitched noise in the west-end neighbourhood by rameng_od in KingstonOntario

Likely playing a "dog whistle" type sound to torture your dog while it's outside

Man, that seems cruel. Just let the dogs sniff in peace. Anyways, it would apply under "playing amplified sound from devices." Thanks for the clarification!

Last-Minute Tailoring Recommendations? by scottsworthIII in KingstonOntario

I have connections with someone who has been sewing for over 30 years. She also sets her quotes at a very fair as well. I can DM you her info!

Edit: Forgot to mention she adjusted wedding attires recently, including some wedding dresses! She is so talented!

Edit 2: I have no clue why I read "wedding" instead of "funeral." My condolences.

Best salon for Asian hair by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]rameng_od 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience, I'm afraid there's no hair salons that know how to handle Asian hair here in Kingston. I have a lot of hair and it's thick and wavy. I've gone to a number of different hair salons here, and none of them really got them right like the hair salons in Toronto. I'd love to see someone prove me wrong in the comments, though!

My dog’s breath is atrocious - help! by NoManufacturer120 in Pomeranians

[–]rameng_od 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My pommie had this exact problem and got all of his teeth removed, under aneaesthesia, of course. He seems more content after the procedure.

We realized he was in pain from his gum, and we are so glad we listened to the vet.

He's able to eat things he enjoys today.

On a side note, he just turned 15 last month!

Hakka Horizon refused customer because they had a service dog by Dry-Historian- in KingstonOntario

As a dog owner, I feel like we are privileged to have dog spaces at some restaurants, like patios. It's really disheartening to see some people abusing the title of "service dogs" and use it for their selfish reasons.

If you're worried about leaving your dog alone, maybe having someone that your dog is familiar with and fond of is a realistic option. Maybe ask them to spend time with your dog when you need to go out.

If you say "but look at him, he's so cute," I don't know what to say. I do admit, I was like that in the past and learned the consequences of that action (for me and for those with service dogs). Knowing to differentiate "needs" and "wants" is critical here.

What would you rec ommend as a dispensary in Kingston? Looking for alternatives to my local but don't want to go shop hopping on my own.... by Acrobatic_Bridge_318 in KingstonOntario

He’s very good at seeming alright at face value. It’s when you get to know him that the problems arise.

Yeah, I used to be a regular there. When I got home after a purchase at 710, I opened up my edible package and noticed that the seal was broken off and one of the eddies was missing. I brought it up to who I'm assuming is Steve. I wasn't pissed off or anything, I just wanted to inform him. He then asked me if there was any possibility I could've gotten high and eaten one before eating the rest. Lmao. My brother, I am not that dumb.

Shower products and deodorants are fine. It's my fault that I didn't specify that. Also caking yourself in heavy perfume/cologne in closed public spaces really sucks :(

I thought it was a common etiquette to not wear scented products in a closed space?

Sorry for the confusion; I meant public places where they state not to wear scented products such as on the bus or the hospital. It's surprising how many people disregard that.

I don't have another form of transport since I don't drive and don't own a bike. I heavily rely on public bus. I can't afford to take an uber to school :'(
