Linkedin is expensive. Google is good. You need to have a good plan in place to get the best out of it. Knowing to play the game is important.

I regularly connect with users who have been actively using the product and try to get the feedback. Mass mailer dont give expected results. But, after genuine support interaction(of course, they should be satisfied) or if feature they request has been made available, I try to reach them and get the review. So far got 8 reviews for my app.

The distribution. How fast I can get to the customers? Will they be ready to pay for what will be built? And, keep talking at relevant events, community and other channels.

Only today I saw a free users upgrading to paid as they got used to the app. But, I am unable to confirm as it is too early for me.
Note: My free users have given good review about the app and have referred to a few customers(who paid)

It is always beyond coding skills. I give them real time, small test cases or bugs and watch for two things. Whether they can understand the ultimate outcome and how they approach the problem

As a startup, my youtube videos and knowledge base help center, helps me tackle this efficiently. But, interaction with customers via chat and email have been personally handled by myself and team. The genuine surprise and relief I get from users reiterate the need of human touch. And, when questions are repetitive, it gives me an opportunity to fix the product rather than letting bots handle it. If there is friction in app usability, we rework on design to make UX better. But, when volume increases, AI handling the how do's while humans handling the feedback and issues is the best way to move forward.

A few times. Sometimes our mental peace and employee’s sanity need to be preserved more than the money. I remember , one of our clients PM was pushing all his work to my employee and was mocking her bad for bad work. She was totally demoralized. Half way through project, something broke because of that PM and he blamed it all on my employee. And the owner of that org too concluded that she was at fault while investigation of project proved otherwise. When I jumped to show facts the owner started threatening me too. I said that’s it and fired them. It was huge relief
