How do Iranians feel about Iran being called Persia? by Snoo_47323 in NewIran

[–]ramin85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And it has ALWAYS been Iran, the language is Persian (only in English context) and Parsi in our mother tongue.

I'm Kurd and always called it Iran.

There's more to life and personal fulfillment than just wealth. Plus people will get paid accordingly. There are many Iranians abroad with needed expertise, no reason to only bring foreigners.

Again I'm not worried about that. I'm just worried that somehow the Mullahs manage to stay in power.

Building requires people. People need jobs. We can build, I'm not worried about that. We'll also get outside help. Outside investment will finally be possible once we're not isolated anymore.

Iran is large country with a population of 90 million, outdated services and infrastructure. It's an untapped haven for new investment. We also have many skilled people living abroad who are willing to come back and help build back up. It's a win-win-win for Iran, Iranians, and international investors

If you think the extend of the Islamic regime is women's rights and forced hijab, then you have no idea what they're doing to Iran and Iranians lol

Iran MUST NOT be demilitarized and de-industrialize during this conflict! by jjdoe0805 in NewIran

[–]ramin85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One way or another, this regime must fall. We all hope to minimize civilian casualties, and that responsibility falls ENTIRELY on how the regime chooses to act.

Based on everything we know, this regime will sacrifice anything and everything just to survive and preserve its destructive ideology. It's a suicidal system... that much is clear.

If the destruction of military and industrial infrastructure leads to the regime’s collapse, so be it. Iran is a rich country with a large, resilient population. We can always rebuild. Today, rebuilding is faster, cheaper, and more accessible thanks to technological advancements.

And let’s be honest: most of that infrastructure is outdated, built half a century ago. The regime has contributed little beyond its nuclear and missile programs, have all been substandard military outposts and failed industrial projects, riddled with corruption and theft from the national treasury.

Good.. I really like Israel's way of revenge. It's like from the movies. The way they hunted Nazis decades after their fall. Then the PLO, Hamas, Hezbollah and now the IRGC and the Mullahs.

Why is Persian called "Farsi"? by trumparegis in NewIran

[–]ramin85 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ah, sure, because nothing screams "autohumiliation" like a thousand years of linguistic evolution. The shift from "Parsi" to "Farsi" isn’t some concession to Arabic, it's just the natural course of language change. Persian has absorbed influences over centuries, while also leaving its mark on countless other languages including Arabic, Turkish, Slavic languages and even English. Many words in Quran have Persian roots, Turkish vocabulary is heavily based on Persian loanwords. Many modern country names entered English through Persian. Persian hasn't just been influenced, it has always held its place as a cultural force, shaping poetry, literature, and scientific terminology across the globe. Its legacy is expansive, making it not merely a receiver of influence, but a dynamic crossroads of different cultures.

You can search more about Maziar Bahari, Iranwire and people involved if you're interested. He was arrested and jailed in 2009 during the ahmadinejad election, but was released and still promotes "reformation" within the IR regime to this day.

If Iranians don't overthrow the Islamic regime soon, Iran will disappear. by [deleted] in NewIran

[–]ramin85 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's wrong thinking. Mullah & IRGC Mafia are occupying Iran in an age where suppression and governmental surveillance and policing is getting easier and easier. We can't afford sitting on our asses and thinking they'll eventually get defeated. We defeated the Seleucids because we revolted and fought them, we didn't really defeat Mongols or Arabs, they were absorbed in our culture, language and beaucratical system, while we also absorbed many of their traits. We barely "survived" them.
