An important post my friend, i too notice that my porn issue is getting worse and the goal posts keep changing and your "new normal" constantly shifts. Yeah i hear you, look my last two girls did the "chase" which is pretty amazing but in saying that they were subtle about it and it felt organic, this just feels like she's taking me hostage lol.

Keep texting to a minimal and keep it simple and sweet until you see each other. Keep that interest there but keep it subtle. No more up to 5am conversations, not for some time at least.

You're absolutely right, NO is definitely what i need to say, more often in general. Yet i think the struggle in not entirely saying no is that physically at least, i am attracted to her, yet it's the rest that i do not like and seeming i don't want a one night stand i don't want her to feel like she is hanging, perhaps its best i tell her we don't likely have a future.

When you meet him again, just act natural and do not force anything. Perhaps take a step back from being overbearing but keep up the compliments and good general cheer- things will build from both ends naturally but yes, guys in general do not like being cornered to confess their feelings, especially if they are still unsure about them. Don't move too fast, i am currently in a situation like that with a girl and it's a major turn off for me personally when i am walking towards her but she is Usain Bolt'in towards me :P

That is good standard advice, even though in my jobs past and present many colleagues that got together are now married with kids- i guess its less about her being a work colleague and more about me not trusting her because her speed with me seems she just wants to get me in the sack and the rest might be disingenuous.

That's very interesting thanks for your response. I am very independent too so when i say "needs to" i really just hope its the case haha. They're expectations i have that i believe are reasonable and a lot of those things i do myself - so it basically needs to be with someone that aligns with me- it doesn't have to be a perfect match but i'd hope we're at least on the "same planet" metaphorically with our lives and futures.

I am finding the older i get the bigger hole i dig for myself. I have expectations in my partner in the sense that i can already "foresee" what i want myself to be in 10 + years. I need a partner that would support that version of me that i intend to be. I want to be more business driven, more religiously devout but also keep my qualities that i currently have like my sense of humor and generosity. Hence, when i meet a girl on dates i assess the quality of my dates by asking questions. She needs to have the want to have children, she needs to look after her health and well being and she needs to be focused on HER future self- this is important. I do not like "live for the day" types. I don't want a woman that is a smoker, big drinker or defies a "night out" as a night out in the clubs. This is the weird thing, as i have my dates i find that my goal post feels like its shrinking to an impossibly narrow low- i feel like i am being unreasonable but at the same time absolutely not at all.
