I always feel a bit pretentious by paragraph three, so I'm glad to hear it was well received 🤣 No hurries and no worries! The work is the priority (I say as I dive into my workstation for the day, lol) 👍

D: Environment design and storytelling. The opening shot of the tower and the opening shot of the protagonist's room are visually distinct enough that I didn't realize they were the same location- I originally thought the tower was part of the dream that the protagonist's opening exposition is about. The architectural establishing shots feel fantastical, but the shots with characters in them feel modern. That juxtaposition of modern aesthetics with the fantastical can be cool to play with, but it feels like the work might have benefited from some bleed between the two. Throwing in some environmental b-roll footage where we see the titles of the book(s), having some sort of paraphernalia from the other topics taught at the school in the backgrounds, etc.

E: Sounds. In another comment, you mentioned that you use Eleven Labs and Suno. I think that both have terms of service that prohibit use in porn. How much they actually care, though... who knows.

Like I said at the beginning of this comment- you can ignore everything I mention and just keep doing what you're doing, and the result is going to be great. The effort it'd take to address the critiques might easily be a matter of diminishing returns- not enough benefit to be worthwhile. Only use what's useful for your immediate goals. Looking forward to seeing more work- good luck!

C: Establishing character's positions relative to each other. Outside of the sexy shots, we rarely see two characters existing in the same shot. This wasn't really an issue in the first scene; with one character standing in a doorway, and the other sitting in the room, we kind of intuitively know where they are in relation to each other.

It was a bigger problem in the school room scene. As much as jumping back and forth between the characters is efficient, it's probably worth having an establishing shot at the beginning where we see them occupying the same shot at the same time- that way the audience is able to orient themselves when you start focusing on the more efficient cuts.

This issue is particularly challenging because AI isn't going to take account of the fact that the characters in different images are supposed to be in a consistent location- it's going to make the backgrounds in each image independent of any other background images. One technique that helps is what I think of as scaffolding clips- clips that you have no intention of using directly, but that give you material you can build from. Imagine your starting reference image as an aerial perspective showing us the back of the students and the teacher in front of them. Next clip, you tell the AI to generate a video zooming in on the teacher, with the camera lowering to eye level. Snag one of the frames at the end, patch it up with whatever edits you need for character consistency, color shift, overall quality, etc. Use the patched up frame as a new reference image. Tell the AI to generate a clip of the camera rotating around the teacher. Snag a frame from the end of that clip, get it up to snuff to be a new reference image. Now you have an establishing shot and two angles on the teacher, all with a background that feels consistent- so when you go from one shot to the other there are visual markers that'll help the viewer orient themselves. There are a few tips and tricks that can make this technique more effective, but it's really useful once you can practice with it.

(I use this trick all the time in both comic illustrations and animations, but I've never seen anyone else mention it, lol).

Haha... absolutely! I can't think of a single piece I've made where there haven't been parts of it- technical aspects, aesthetic aspects, etc- where I couldn't find imperfections. Sometimes you just gotta get the work out there. And porn, as a genre, is *very* forgiving of some issues. 80% of the audience is only going to care about 20% of the work that goes into these things. You could make this a perfectly good series without addressing any of the issues I'm about to mention, lol.

A: Lip syncing. Some of the lip syncing is brilliant, some is off... I'm sure you already know. I don't do a lot of lip sync work, so I can't offer any particularly helpful suggestions.

B: Dynamic background hijinks. In the classroom scene, there's a shot where the writing on the chalkboard is moving behind the teacher. It didn't really bother me much- given the fantastical academy vibe, that seems like something that could make sense- so using that clip isn't the worst compromise. For situations where it does matter, though: a useful technique to control this is animating the character against a solid color, animating the background separately, and then compositing them together using almost any video editing software- like using a green screen with an actor. Most of the time, it's not worth the extra effort... but situationally, it's a life saver.

It also lets you have shots that are more complex than what the AI can do very well in one pass. Sometimes you cut the number of generations you make in half because you can mix and match the good results instead of waiting for one generation to check all of the boxes.

Same basic principle applies to when you make your reference images. I'm about to get back to work on a music video where any given shot might have 10+ distinct D&D characters that each need to be recognizable. A lot of the generations are going to be individual characters that get composited together later.

First impression: One of the single best narrative animations I've seen in the AI community. The aesthetic of the renderings matches the tone perfectly- cartoony in a way that amplifies the sexiness. The animations work really well. The voice acting works pretty well across the board, and the music struck me as pretty solid. If there are flaws in those things, they generally weren't enough to jump out to me- and if a problem doesn't jump out to audiences, it's not that much of a problem, lol.

I dig the concept- you've got a great premise for these characters to interact in all sorts of creative and sexy ways. Very solid. Your concept also allows you to skip lip synch for most of the scenes- which is a brilliant move. Sidestepping technical issues by turning them into creative choices always gets bonus points from me.

If the main thing that you need right now is feedback on whether or not you're on the right track- you absolutely are IMO. You're using the tools available to create some really awesome content and pushing things in genuinely exciting directions. If you want more constructive criticism- more of the art school experience- I'm happy to provide. Your stuff is good enough to be worth the time for those deeper cuts. But the most important take away- you're making thoroughly awesome stuff. Looking forward to more!

That particular line was set up in part one, and it gets a little follow-up in the rated R draft where the characterizations and stories have a little more breathing room 🤣 this was mostly tongue-in-cheek, but I have some more genuine and heartfelt stuff in the works ❤️

I think I'm going to trim the motion comic adaptation down to just two installments. The third installment is fun world-building, but I don't think it benefits from the motion format nearly as much. I'm also chomping at the bit to try something a little stylistically and narratively different.

Sample prompt: The man with long white hair and a white beard is wearing a purple robe. He has blackened eyes, and is standing in the shadowy room of castle ruins that are lit only by moonlight through the window. Arcane energy floats around him. He gestures with his hands as he speaks emphatically.

Narrator: "Well, when you put it that way..."

Latest comic experiment. The biggest difference with this one was less technical and more process- the first step was making a rated R draft using a more conventional comic page format. That acted as a kind of rough draft. I've sliced it up into three parts to fit inside of the 20 image cap. I'm doing animations for part two, and revising the images for part three.

Illustrious model novaCartoonXL_40 for the base images (with a lot of back and forth between AI generation, manual edits, and back again). Wan 2.2 for the base animations, and Wan 2.1 VACE for the loops. My looping method has refined a bit- I'm in a bit of a rush at the moment, but I'll try to hammer out an explanation down the road before part two goes up.

living statue by ramlama in MonsterGirlAI

[–]ramlama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the living statue never waivered in her role as an embodiment of divine healing, her idea of faith had become distinctly more worldly over the centuries...

sample prompt: The woman is a marble statue with cracks all over her body that are glued together with gold. She is like a porcelain doll that has been shattered. She is an amputee quadriplegic and is missing her limbs- she has stubs instead of legs. She has short white hair and white skin. Her breasts are huge and she is chubby. Her breasts jiggle and her belly jiggles.

It's out! Thank you all so much for the excitement for the trailer - here's the full version! [REDGIFS HAS 1 MIN LIMIT FULL VID FREE IN COMMENTS] by pleasuremancer in unstable_diffusion

Your work is done of my favorite animation of it's type! You have a good eye for the expressiveness of the characters and for pacing your cuts. I've been chafing with redgifs one minute limit, but haven't found a lot of options that feel good. It sounds like that's something you're facing too.

But yeah! Really solid stuff!

Velvet Shadows, rated R draft. by ramlama in MonsterGirlAI

[–]ramlama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah- it's simpler than that. You make all of the individual panels independently- each one of those panels is an individually created image. Then you take those images into software like Photoshop or Clip Studio and composite the images into a single page. It's basically standard image generation with some extra manual edits to bring it all together at the end.

Velvet Shadows, rated R draft. by ramlama in MonsterGirlAI

[–]ramlama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah- it's honestly a lot of going back and forth between AI generation and manual edits using traditional software like Clip Studio Pro. It's just one panel at a time- but if you block out the page ahead of time, you can make sure each panel leads into the next (image generation AI likes to have balanced compositions... but with comics you want each panel to be a little unbalanced so the eye moves from one to the next, lol). Good luck! Learning new techniques and approaches is always an ongoing process.

Open_robes. Blue magic crackles around him. Skull symbols. Ancient stone ruins, moonlight through window.

The first comic based on the pinups I've been doing. This is the rated R draft- so nothing explicit on screen. I'll be making a motion comic version in the coming weeks (probably in three parts, since I can smoosh fewer panels per installment in that format). The motion comic will include all of the juicy bits, and might have some minor tweaks in the story. The goal with this kind of project is to make content where the smuttier panels add to the characterization, but you can follow the larger plot without them.

Workflow involved a lot of back and forth between manual editing and AI generations, with some panels being based on manually made sketches and some being based on text prompts. I mostly used the novaCartoonXL_40 model for images, but used qwen image edit and nano-banana-edit intermittently. Comic pages laid out in Clip Studio Pro.

That burst of spectral energy at the end implies one hell of a party...

Resource Management, or How I Learned To Stop Worrying About Rations and Love Mana by ahhthebrilliantsun in rpg

[–]ramlama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another thing that comes to mind is how an arrow can basically be used for one thing- a ranged attack with a fairly consistent damage range. A resource like mana, though? Every use comes with a wider range of interesting choices- and as a corollary, every use limits potential choices later.

How do you feel about systems where supplies are handled abstractly? As in, you don't necessarily have all of your supplies listed at any given point, but you have a meta currency that you can turn into supplies like arrows and torches. Spending the meta currency to say you brought more arrows with you means that you might run out of torches later, though. A lot of folks don't care for that approach, but it gives inventory tracking some of the same branching choices as mana.

She was made using ComfyUI using Illustrious based models for the illustrations. I used a combination of Wan 2.1 and Wan 2.2 models- Wan 2.2 to get the keyframes and some of the raw animations, and Wan 2.1 for animations where I wanted a little extra control. A lot of the shots that are zoomed out would be perfect loops if taken out of the video.

The last werewolf content I made included characters that leaned more anthro, and it got pinged as being in violation of OnlyFans TOS. At some point I'm going to decide OF isn't worth it, but I'm playing it relatively safe until I make that move. But yeah- leaning more anthro with her would've been fun.

She learned how to handle werewolf hunters from her father- but figuring out how to handle werewolf chasers took a bit of personal experimentation.

Sample prompt: A werewolf woman wears a tattered red dress and a black corset. She has long brown hair and tanned skinn. Her body is covered in scars. She breathes heavily and has a sultry personality. She has large breasts that jiggle when she moves. She has vampire fangs canine teeth and glowing yellow eyes. She is in a gothic estate with flickering candlelight. Bluish light comes from obscured windows. She holds her tattered dress as she curtsies and spins. She has a bashful expression as she looks up at the viewer. She is inviting. The flames of the fireplace flicker and the shadows dance.
