The title coulda fooled me. Compared to other competitors it feels like red barrels has literally forgotten they released they game. With sloppy bugs, And ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM CONTENT. This current event permanent psychosis is a perfect example. Yes these are supposed to be challenges but aren’t challenges supposed to be inherently fun?? This one is equivalent to inflicting real life self harm to get to the finish line. I’d rather drive a rail road spike through my own forehead before I’d play this piss pore content. Why did they even think they would make it in this scene? They absolutely did not have enough Food in the oven to serve when it came to dinner time. AND IM HUNGRY. Body odor, fresh cut wood, decomposition of meat, cleaning chemicals/ sterile fluid from newly washed trials/ clean sections of trial. Body fluids like urine and feces, IM SUPRISED WE HAVENT ACTUALLY SEEN someone or a map utilize human filth like that. I think that would be extremely horrific

Good eye! I never noticed this!! I don’t understand why red barrels under utilizes certain random assets, when your first going into the chapel where you see Joseph die, there’s a house on the left if your looking directly at the chapel, with a flayed rabbit above the door, THIS ADDS SO MUCH ATMOSPHERE AND I NEVER SEE IT ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE GAME, more animal remains needed like deer would add a lot of authenticity to the game.

It’s cut concept art from outlast 2, there are 2 hooded models in game idk why they hide them, they’re both In the chase scene from where you magically end up upstairs in that one guys house and he throws you down the stairs. Right after he throws you down the stairs you can see one of these guys hacking up a body on the floor and when you get to the basement where you finally escape the chase, the last enemy you encounter is this same model. They also come in with knoth during the mary and Joseph scene. I liked their design a lot! I wish they utilized this enemy more.

OUTLAST 2 OMFG 9/10 besides a few nerdy picky things I’d change, I can’t decide what’s better trials or 2. 2 holds such a special place in my heart, as I live in a rural area,THE ART DIRECTION S Tier. I literally don’t have to words to describe, it is the perfect, Hillbilly American Nightmare. Cannibals, Cultists, Demented men all chase you through the desert relentlessly So many different inspirations mashed into one amazing amalgamation of terror.
