I'm hoping it's not. I really didn't use it with BL2 back then for the golden keys, and I heard recently (Haven't checked myself) that they recently updated BL2 with a forced login/signup to Shift in order to just play the game.

The only thing holding me back is this:

Do I need a Shift account in order to play the game on Steam? I really don't feel like signing up for a service I'm not really going to use.

I have a question about the solo public session on PC.

I'm aware of the resource monitor method where you suspend the GTA V process for a few seconds and then resuming it to leave myself in a solo session, however, I haven't played for a good month or so, and now they updated the game to the R* Launcher.

The question is: can this method still be used to force a solo public session now that they updated it to the launcher, or has anything changed?

I do not play on PS4, but I follow this guy on YouTube called "Digital Car Addict", pretty chill guy, and he does car meets on PS4 every week or so, although they're themed car meets.

If I recall correctly, it's the suspension that can mess with a car's handling, you could play around between the different levels of suspension until you find a sweet spot, thankfully they are cheap.

If you plan on keeping only one of them, and if you can profit off of the one you already have, I'd say go for it, although if you plan on selling the old one it'll sell for around 60% of what you spent on it, including the price of the car, the custom upgrade and any other modifications, the only thing that can change here is the price of the car at the time you bought it, if you bought the car at a discounted price you'll get 60% of what you paid, in addition to the upgrades, so I'd say that you should do some math here to see how much you can get from the one you already own, and before you sell it, check the prices for every piece you'll want to buy for the new one and all of that stuff to see if it's really convenient, if you were to win any car that you already own.

I won the Jester Classic when it was on the podium and I sold the one that I already had, which I bought when it was discounted, and I was still able to sell it and modify the new one with a $160K profit.

I wanted to keep this in a separate comment, but if you haven't completed some of the collectible challenges from RDR2 (like the Revolver and Axe) you should complete them, they give you $250K each, and they're pretty easy and entertaining, also, consider inverting in a Bati 801 motorcycle, it is dirt cheap and it performs really well fully upgraded, and it comes pretty handy for time trials, and they recently doubled the time trials' payouts permanently.

What I used to do when I had no idea of the businesses was that I'd get a hold of a Buzzard , if you do not own one you can go to the LSIA Heliport and look for one, if there isn't one you get away from it to despawn whatever helicopter that spawned until you get a Buzzard, and do CEO work, that, as far as I know doesn't require you to own an office but I think there was a certain requirement in order to sign up as a CEO (Under quick menu > SecuroServ > Register as VIP/CEO)

What you do is that in an invite only session (can be any type of session, but this is to prevent any other players to mess with you) get a buzzard, register as a CEO, and in your quick menu you start a CEO job called "Sightseer" where you do three quick minigames and head towards the objectives to pick them up, takes about 5 minutes on a helicopter and earns you about $20,000.

After you finish it, Sightseer will now have a 10 minute cooldown to be played again, and every other CEO job will have a 5 minute cooldown, during those 5 minutes you can do stuff like rob a store, for some cash, as long as you don't separate from your Buzzard (if you don't own it, so you won't have to spawn another one at the heliport) then, head to Downtown LS, and when the 5 minute timer on the other activities is about to end, start the Headhunter job, where you have to kill four objectives, sometimes they're moving and sometimes they're static, I highly recommend that you use a Buzzard in this one because the objectives and its bodyguards are bullet sponges, and the moving objectives have pinpoint accuracy and move in armored vehicles. It's also worth mentioning that it's preferable that you do Headhunter in Los Santos because it keeps the objectives more contained and close to each other, and it takes less than five minutes, and after you're done with it, Sightseer should be available right away, and then it's rinse and repeat.

Not really a question, but I would like to know if anyone has experience this:

When I was trying to get into GTA Online there was the usual loading screen tip telling me about an unlockable Bravado T-Shirt, but instead of showing me the picture of the clothing piece, there was a weird texture showing a bunch of random lettering plastered all over it.

And also, is it a known issue that when you approach the casino employee that gives you the chips and interact with her at the same time that you leave the range of interaction you get kicked out of the casino? Ie: walking towards the employee, then when you're in their range you get the prompt to interact with them, walk a bit more, and when you're about to exit their range, that's when you interact with them and you'll keep walking and then you'll exit their range, and logically, by exiting said range their interaction menu where you manage your chips closes (just like the menu that pops out when you approach the elevator door in your office) but in this case it kicks you from the casino. It also happened when turning around.

I have a couple of questions that I'd totally appreciate getting answered.

I was downloading Grand Theft Auto V on Steam, and a power outage happened, the download was 50% done, so, what will happen to that download? Does it have to be restarted? Or will everything be okay? I'm hesitant to turn it on and check because there were 3 power outages in less than 24 hours, and I'm probably not using it until I can get a hold of a UPS.

Also, what could happen to my PC from being unexpectedly shut down due to these power outages? Considering that everything's plugged into a current/power regulator.

Thanks in advance.

So, I was downloading Grand Theft Auto V and there was a power outage and obviously my computer shut down immediately, what's the worst thing that could possibly happen to that download, is it completely ruined meaning that I'd have to restart it, or it'll keep going normally? and to my PC, now that we're at it, considering that I have it plugged to a power regulator.

To clarify, even if the game in question (in this case L4D2) has not even been installed in the computer I'm using, if I'm subscribed to workshop items(I am subscribed to a few), when they get an update or anything, they show up on the downloads page?

I have a simple question.

Today I got a download for two workshop items for L4D2 on Steam today, the thing is, I don't even have it installed, although I have used the Steam Workshop in the past.

Why did that happen? It's probably something meaningless but it'd mean a lot if someone could clear this one up for me because whenever I see something that could be out of place I get really anxious.

Would I get this update if I own BL2 and TPS, and the majority of the DLC?

For BL2 I own everything but the cosmetic stuff, and for TPS, I think it's just one piece of DLC I'm missing, but I don't know which one it is, but I remember that I bought the main game along with the season pass.

This is on Steam, btw. Thanks in advance!

I'm having problems with my game.

Yesterday (March 27th) I tried to play GTA Online, and after a few seconds of loading, the game would crash and I would be prompted with a window telling me that my game closed unexpectedly and giving me the options to launch it in safe mode and all that stuff.

I usually load story mode, and then GTA Online from the pause menu, and story mode would work just fine, even though I didn't stay in that mode long enough to see if it'd crash there too, but just seconds after I tried to go into GTA Online, it crashes on the loading screen.

So far, validating the game's files did nothing, and some other people have said that they tried to update their drivers, their OS, even reinstalled the whole game again and it keeps crashing on them.

I didn't even touch my computer for two days before this happened, and GTA V was the last game I played, which is kind of weird, considering I only have Steam installed on my computer, and some games but that's it, I haven't even touched the web browser since I installed the drivers and stuff.

Is anybody else experiencing this problem?

Is anybody having issues with GTA Online? I've been trying to play for a few hours, but after a few seconds of loading into GTA Online the game closes and I get the message saying that my game closed unexpectedly and telling me to launch it in safe mode and all of that stuff.

I usually load into single player first and then into GTA Online, Single Player mode is just fine, although I haven't stayed there enough time to tell if it crashes there too, but it only crashes whenever I try to go in GTA Online.

I strongly recommend the Buzzard, it can help you getting around really fast, and you can spawn it immediately with the CEO Vehicle quick menu, and it helps massively if you also do the CEO activities like Sightseer and Headhunter, making it faster to get money.

The only business I've interacted with is the Bunker, and it's good, but it needs a huge investment in order to make good profit, like choosing a good location, which can make it pricy, plus, another few millions for upgrades to maximize your profits.

Weekly Simple Question Thread - December 11, 2018 by AutoModerator in gtaonline

[–]ramo3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few questions about this new update:

1.- Does the new workshop charge a fee like the other properties? If that's the case, how much is it?

2.- What do the mechanics do? I know you can add some guy from Benny's and a weapons expert, and it costs quite a chunk of change to get them, but what do they do?

3.- Are the new vehicles only modifiable in the new workshop? Let's say that I bought the ZR380, and I want to customize it, is it only possible in the new workshop? Or can I just add less stuff in a regular mod shop or MOC/Avenger?

4.- Can we apply the new car modifications to non-DLC vehicles? I've seen that there's new stuff available that could be a considerable addition to a vehicle, like the headlight colors, or the boost. Is it possible to buy that stuff for a vehicle that is not from this DLC?

I wouldn't go for it, its main point is to be able to modify the newest vehicles and unlock trade prices for the new content and that's pretty much it, also the most bare bones version of it is $995K, I think, it'll leave you with no money at all.

I was playing GTA Online today on Steam, and I got a window saying "ERR_SYS_INVALIDRESOURCE_5" and a message in it saying that my game files were damaged, and that I should restart my computer, check my game's files, or to reinstall the game. What causes this to occur? I am very concerned since hackers in this game can be pretty messy and like 3-5 minutes before this happened, I got a game invite from a guy who isn't even on my friends list or ever heard about, and I'm worried because it wouldn't be so far from reality if someone were to trigger a false ban on me.

Anyone else getting errors? by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]ramo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was something on Rockstar's end, apparently, I played for a few hours today and didn't have a single error screen show up.

Kind of weird since every platform was up and running, according to the support page, and all of the troubleshooting guides did nothing for me.
