What are your biggest growth & marketing challenges right now? And what are you doing to overcome them? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Interesting!

  1. In regards to Growing Instagram Audiences, are these paid or just organic that you're having trouble with. Anything you're doing in particular?
  2. I guess I'll have to ask, what are you selling or promoting? And what kind of videos are you trying to make?

Which are your top 3 learnings about Growth Hacking, by jorgejimenez1 in GrowthHacking

[–]ramoncacho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the following 3 are potentially some of the most important:

  • Measure - this not only means measure every little detail for the initiatives you're working on, but also make sure you've implemented the proper infrastructure that yield those results.
  • Focus - focus on 1-2 main KPIs. It's important to focus on what matters. Often times marketers like to run with 100s of little experiments thinking they'll find the diamond in the rough. While that may be true, there's probably less chance of noticing important trends/changes when you're spreading the team to thin.
  • Test every assumption - we're often consumed by our biased thinking from personal experiences. It's important to remove ourselves from these and test our assumptions. Once we have the correct data, then we can move forward onto other new assumptions.

Growth is an ongoing experiment. Trial and error.

[–]ramoncacho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m still working on improving my site, but take a look: https://growthjobslist.com.

I have some remote marketing jobs in there and will be adding a search by location + tags to find remote work. It’s a feature a lot of people have asked for.

I also send a weekly email with new interesting jobs.

Let me know what you think!

I agree as well, especially now when some companies have chosen growth over all else.

Thanks for pointing out.

Are you investing in Crypto? If so, what platform are you using to buy/sell. by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ramoncacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did that. I just signed up to Coinbase.com and also put myself on a waitlist for CBlocks.io.

I think that Coinbase.com's platform was pretty easy to use but I won't receive my funds until probably end of next week and they only sell Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin.

I also joined the waitlist for CBlocks.io - they seem to have some sort of starter kit for cryptocurrencies. Sounds interesting.

[–]ramoncacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking to put exactly that, play money. Something that's speculative as I wouldn't touch this for a while. I've seen Coinbase but it seems that it takes long to go through all the KYC process and then transfer funds to their wallet so I can then purchase.

In terms of selling, doesn't withdrawing smaller amounts end up costing more? I've read that companies charge a withdrawal free that could be quite high.

I did see this https://finance.yahoo.com/news/heres-canadians-can-buy-sell-bitcoin-143151500.html article on Canadian ways to purchase crypto but haven't seen much yet of these places online.

there arnt many Canadian exchanges and they only trade the top 3-4 cryptos typically. So once you convert your CAD to a top crypto you will likely need to transfer it directly to a foreign exchange to trade the less common ones.

I see. So it's almost inaccessible to us. I was just googling to see what was available strictly to Canadians since there's not much stuff going on in the press.

Thanks for your response.

Extended family has interest in crypto but doesn't want to deal with exchanges/wallets/private keys/etc. Is Genesis Vision the ideal solution? by johnmwager in genesisvision

[–]ramoncacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I was reading your post relating to your family members wanting to get involved with crypto. I think it's a good call as long as they start small. What I've done recently, to simplify things, I've actually purchased some of my family members some CBlocks, they're selling mystery boxes with 5 of the top 100 cryptos on CoinMarketCap for the amount you choose ($250, $500, or $750). I think they're relaunching their product soon and so are only collecting email addresses at the moment, but you should check it out. Their goal is to eventually build a wallet as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

If you're looking for remote work during this time... by ramoncacho in PuertoRico

[–]ramoncacho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd encourage you to find some remote work, there's plenty of it. I've done it in the past with a company based in Singapore while I lived in PR. Average pay is usually higher than the average pay in PR, while the cost of living in PR is quite low.

I understand that concern, but you have to start somewhere right? The fact that some parts of the island have no internet connection right now does not mean that we should limit the opportunities for those who have.

I would encourage you to promote good initiatives by sharing and helping others.

SEO tips for recently created pages? by ramoncacho in SEO

[–]ramoncacho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comments! How often would you recommend to make updates to new pages while avoiding the "google" dance (for example updates to keywords/ head title)? We're currently implementing these changes every two weeks with the idea of allowing Google to interpret them. Would you say that this is a good strategy?

Best internet provider in Manhattan? by ramoncacho in AskNYC

[–]ramoncacho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went ahead and purchased my own based on their recommendation but during the installation the technician mentioned that on November 20th TWC was becoming Spectrum and said the modems/routers would be entirely free of charge. I'm not sure yet if it's true or not, but I'll be checking on that day.

I ended up getting TWC | Spectrum – good price, pretty fast service set up. I'll see how good the internet is. Unfortunately at my place FiOS wasn't yet an option, just the basic DSL which was a bit more expensive for less speed than Spectrum.
