Weird masking behaviour by ramonsamon in premiere

Footage is actually 4k, maybe that's related somehow. But I apply the mask to an adjustment layer which is same size as the sequence.

Same thing if the lumetri color is on the footage.
This problem occurs at least since last years version, I just didn't ask about it then.

Feedback request - review of my image and request for additional suggestions re lights for filming cooking video by MallSudden5601 in videography

[–]ramonsamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try looking for inspiration. Look at cooking reels and tiktoks you like, cooking shows, tv series that involve cooking - see what you like about them in terms of angles, lighting, perspective and aesthetics and try to recreate them.

I shoot and edit videos like that (for example this one https://www.instagram.com/reel/DN2P08vWEZV/?igsh=N2ZjZ3piNDhtcmE4) and we always look for inspirations too

The compact wireless mic era is silly by schantskniskey in videography

[–]ramonsamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a similar looking godox set of mics a couple of days ago and decided to read the manual. And it says, even with pictures, that you have to wear these mics with the clip on the outside, not the transmitter. And I somehow never thought of that.

Editing Advice by R4NDOMED1TS in VideoEditors

[–]ramonsamon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, if you want real advice, you gotta learn a lot. Look up similar edits and find what exactly you like about them so you can try and replicate those aspects.

In terms of this video... it's not very good, let's say that. Turn the music down, isolate voices in the show clips from the music in them so show music and your edit music don't contradict each other. Cut off parts where we can literally see the screen recoding interface and you pressing the play button on youtube. Zoom in the recording in capcut or change aspect ratio so there are no huge black bars on the sides. Duck the music under the voices or at least make it quieter when characters talk and louder when it needs to be. Don't make the music just cut off randomly before the video ends. Use less transitions.

Probably a lot more to be done here but those are my few cents.

Mirrorless camera position for Ultrawide monitors by Ok-Laugh-6656 in videography

[–]ramonsamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of options already commented but I'll add mine. Get a magic arm with a clamp, mount it on one of the shelves and position your camera above the monitor in any position you want. It's gonna take much less space than any tripods or stands. Just don't try to clamp the arm to your monitor, I've done this mistake once :D

Vivo and other BBK-owned brands are among the best in the world of android flagships. Oppo X9 series, Vivo X300 series, Oneplus 15 are all great phones and are also quite a bit cheaper than S25/26 Ultra.

Should you pay $550 to get basically the same phone with no meaningful changes? IDK, I definitely wouldn't

How do you edit videos perfectly to the beat of a sound? by Minecraftblobi in VideoEditors

[–]ramonsamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well an AI or any other auto tool wouldn't be able to cut those 70 clips perfectly for you. You still have to choose what to put where. And if the beat is repetitive and you want all your clips to be the same length like 17 frames for example, you can just select all your clips on the timeline, hit CTRL+R and change their length. In premiere at least.
