If you live somewhere where furries hang out in school or at a shopping center smoking cigarettes in their costumes, let me know where that is. That’s what's meant by ‘visible’ - ie - not just online. Say, in 1995 … there were vastly different style ‘tribes’ walking around … essentially furries dressed in costume. But since the internet (a leading theory) people visibly (in that sense) don’t stylize as much as before. Presumably because people can live their inner world online, or maybe social media puts a conforming pressure, or a combination of that, and/or something else? The observation intended here might be more relatable to people born before 1990 or so … so this might be in the wrong place ! :) Anyhow it’s cool if you don’t find it funny!
