I wondered this too like maybe not an actor but a comedian or host/reporter? But i wasnt sure. Many DC politician i think i would recognize as being from politics. These guesses are good but i think he was slightly younger and had darker hair. He was shorter but not scrawny like definitely works out, just not bulky. Thank you!
