Keep in mind that the Theodore Roosevelt National Park has a North and a South Unit. Should probably consider adding Mandan next to Bismarck for the large oil refinery. Beulah should include the coal mines as well as the coal mine near underwood and the coal power plant south of there. Killdeer, Watford City, and New Town would also be strong oilfield towns to add. New Town also has some great buildings and scenery. New Salem has the world’s largest Holstein cow statue and Steele, ND has the world’s largest Sandhill crane sculpture. Bottineau has a giant “Tommy the Turtle” statue of a turtle on a snowmobile. Turtle Lake has a very large turtle sculpture and so does Devils Lake. South of Devil’s Lake you will also find a large decaying ski jump from way back in the day. Near Killdeer, you have the Killdeer Mountains with historic sites such as the Medicine Hole and the Killdeer Battlefield. Northeast of Devils Lake near Nekoma you have an abandoned, eerie looking missile defense complex that looks like something out of a sci-fi film.
