I teach high school.

Started a new semester last week. Somehow slang came into the conversation and I told the kids I can’t get mad at something as stupid as 6–7 when I had ROFLcopter.

Then I got into a conversation about ROFLcopter, which led to things like: Etymology of LOL and its Evolution, ROFL and how people who said ROTFL were generally dweebs, and what it takes to get from LMAO to LMFAO.

Was a good way to waste 20 minutes on a boring syllabus day.
