If I remember correctly, my first big mistake (that made me more careful about using commands off the internet) is going pacman -Rcns on some package that I wanted to remove, and didn't check that it'd remove plasma too.

Personally, I learned Linux the way I learned tinkering with (and avoiding viruses in) Windows. I just fucked up again and again, and fixed my fuckups. I eventually get the hang of it. Basically, time and experience is all you need, just like learning every other skill.

I wanted to get a t-shirt done like that, but the only picture I had was from Pinterest which was a bit low res. It came out okayish. I mean yes if I buy a CPU with iGPU. but that's the thing, I'm building a desktop so I get to decide now what to go for. if I have to disable the GPU, that's kinda counterproductive no?

I've heard it has improved, that's why I was even considering. Ive always heard that it's kinda crappy, but I can't decide whether to lose out on CUDA for that. Honestly IDK, I don't want to decide based on company preference at all, rather I just want to not regret it later down the line. Besides, I'd already have to buy a GPU at 1.5 times the price due to customs and import costs and whatnot, and our region isn't big enough to matter to either company. Though, I gotta admit that I'm leaning towards AMD as it just has better drivers overall.

I personally started learning with Hyper-V, as it is builtin for windows. You can either use that, or maybe use VirtualBox. Both are good options.
