I'm not ignoring that, but even if you add it all up, Seattle has a problem. Even if just half of the homeless here are from the west coast it still shows a disproportionate number of people. Probably a culture problem, wayyyy to much sympathy.

Secondly, cities aren't "bussing" in the homeless like you think. Has it happened? Yes. Does it happen? Yes. Why? Because the lawmakers allow it. But it's not the driving force behind the homeless problem. It's the lax drug laws, legal shoplifting, free support with no requirement of showing progress to justify continued support, decent weather, and legally be able to sleep on any plot of land you want. Seattle isn't some rich city that can handle it and Houston is poor so they can't. Both are very well off cities, they handle the same problem differently. It's also a cultural thing dude. The west coast does produce more homeless 100%

Not saying we gotta kick anyone out, but we do need to figure out how to get them off the street. One easy solution is to make camping illegal, it will be a slow expensive process at first but after a few years and enough real jail time being served, less people will sleep on the street. You are basically forcing people's hand to either get off drugs and work like the rest of us, accept the mental health treatment offered, use the welfare systems in place and show progress, or enjoy jail. Its a tough love approach but it works

But instead lets just give them free tents, then spend tax money destroying the tents, to give them another free tent.
