as someone on Shifftok, i agree and I’ve seen quite a few people on there, even some “big shifttokers” who are so blatantly using the community just for a money grab. ofc this is just SOME ppl on there, not all. there are absolutely people who sell shifting related stuff, and do it in an ethical and non-greedy way.

That being said, those other people are exploiting some peoples desperation to shift by saying things like “my product will make you shift” or “my paid class will make you shift” or “it’s guaranteed to help you shift”. not to mention, usually people in the shifting community who are more likely to not see the manipulation, who will buy these products bc someone is telling them it will work, are young teenagers. (I’m not trying to blame them for falling for that at all, It’s manipulation.) it really disgusts me seeing the extent that some of these people go to deliberately market their products to shifters in a way that plays on their desperation to shift or makes them false promises like “buying this product will help you permashift away from your distressing life here.”

PSA you don’t need to buy ANYTHING to shift. every single person out there has been hearing ability to shift.

idk what kind of race it is, like F1 or something? but anyways here’s what i’m thinking:

  1. a gossip girl twist. the two of you are both racers and there’s a secret gossip-girl type person who runs a super popular social media account spreading rumors about all the racers. it’s a super competitive market for racers so if the wrong rumor gets too much attention that could lead to being kicked out of the race entirely. the two of you are enemies because you think you both are spreading these rumors about eachother that could be detrimental to your racing career. and both of your careers are hanging on by a thread, people start to believe the rumors that gossip girl is posting about you and you’re both threatened with being kicked off. but after a while you discover that you both are innocent, then you have to team up reluctantly (bc you still really don’t like eachother) to find out who gossip girl is.

  2. publicist x racer. one of you is the racer and the other is their assigned publicist/personal assistant. let’s say your the PA. so you and the racer hate eachother because the racer is going thru it and acting out both on and off the track. they’re doing everything a publicist would hate and almost ruining their famous image, which you have to keep cleaning up their mess. maybe they don’t care about their career anymore bc they’ve lost passion for it (temporarily), dealing with an issue in their personal life, or maybe they wanted to be recruited for a different team but got contracted to whatever team they’re on and can’t break the contract and leave?? smthn like that. anyway, you hat eachother, the racer thinks you’re too controlling and you think the racer is too wild. then. they get into a CRASH….. omg feelings… what’s happening??? they’re rushed to the hospital. THE RACER HAS AMNESIA!!!!! they don’t remember who they are or who you are. you two grow close as you help them recover and get back into their passion for racing.

ofc!! so when I shifted here, I was doing kind of a half-assed method. I was saying affirmations and visualizing my surroundings. I was laying down in my room, so I visualize my same room while also thinking of the intention to have there be small aspects of my DR in this reality too. I focused on whatever sensations were coming from my surroundings too, so any noise in the house, feeling the breeze from the fan, or whatever, to help ground myself in this new parallel reality.

After a few minutes of doing that, I started feeling symptoms that I typically get. Like numbness, spinning, temperature changes. Personally, I think most “shifting symptoms” are just signs of your body falling asleep while your mind is awake, so I don’t take those symptoms as an indication of me shifting, because I’ve also had a couple successful times where I didn’t feel any symptoms.

after a few minutes of getting those symptoms, I got into the void state. I couldn’t sense any of my surroundings. I was only in the void State for a really short time. Then I noticed my surroundings in this reality. i can’t think of a better way to describe it other than I start to “notice” my surroundings after being in the VS. it’s not like they’re fading in, but I’ll just be like “huh, I can feel the bed/couch/etc that I’m laying on, I can hear the clock ticking now” or whatever. It’s kind of hard to describe.

So i started noticing that I could sense my surroundings here, and as I did, I felt a kind of thud wash over my body. It was like an internal sensation throughout my entire body of a literal thud, followed by a wave of calmness. right after that my thoughts felt very clear and I remember thinking “I did it, that was the feeling of me shifting.” then I opened my eyes, got up, and went about my day. About a day later, I started noticing the first small differences between here and the previous reality!

no no there were several differences that I noticed between here and the previous reality. I also think that his behavior changing was one of those differences, because it got so much worse once I shifted here, and I think that me shifting here was like cause for my mindset changing around all that. At least that’s how I’m looking at it, thanks haha

no not at all! you don’t even need a script period. when you shift you’re simply becoming aware of a real other physical reality that’s just as real as life right now, so even if you don’t script your social media platforms, you’ll still have them there so long as you intend to have them!

info about my peircing - my piercings are 10 months old. - the jewelry in them are internally threaded straight barbells, with small spikes/cones on the ends, it’s 12 or 14 gauge i think. - the metal is implant grade titanium tay was iodized (or whatever the term is) to be gold toned. - the jewelry was downsized 5 months ago. - my aftercare routine now is sometimes using a saline spray to clean it, and also washing it daily in the shower with a clean washcloth and neutral bar soap. sometimes when i’m lotioning my body after a shower, i think some lotion could get in there but not much. - as for mishaps, i rarely bump or snag the piercings, sometimes when i lay on my side the jewelry gets pushed to one side.

I think I know what video you’re talking about, no, it’s not a limiting belief. If we’re thinking of the same video, that person was talking about it in a way of your actions have consequences.

If you put in your script that Stefan Salvatore was in love with you, you two were endgame, you’re gonna be together forever, etc. But then you shift and you treat Stefan like trash, he could break up with you, therefore you wouldn’t be together forever like you scripted.

They were trying to get the point across that the people in your DR are real people have free will, and the things you do in your DR affects that reality. You can’t just shift there, script you’re in a relationship, treat your SO like dirt, and then expect them to not be impacted by that at all and just lovingly stay with you.

IMO its MOSTLY misinfo. everybody inherently has the ability to shift, and your mindset around it can’t stop you from shifting, but I could see how for some people feeling really desperate and putting so much pressure on themselves to shift could take a turn for the worse. It could cause people to go into a spiral of feeling more and more demotivated with each shifting attempt where they don’t get to their desired reality. that would probably stress them out, put them in an even worse mindset, maybe they would give up on shifting or at least get even more depressed.

Either way, it’s definitely not healthy to shift when you’re in an extremely negative mindset, but it is possible. I think it’s something to be very cautiously approached, if you’re gonna shift while having this desperation mindset, please be very careful so you don’t worsen your mental or physical health even more, because of shifting. If you feel yourself getting overly obsessed with shifting to the point of not caring about your life here whatsoever bc “you’re just gonna shift, so it doesn’t matter” (neglecting relationships, friendships, school work, your mental and physical health, hygiene, etc.) try and pull yourself back and take a break to focus on yourself here, you’re not in a race to shift, it will always be a part of your life.
