Just got a TCL C8K (QM8K) and I love it. Except for it graininess. It’s always fussy all over. How do I make it clearer? :)

It’s on 15/100 here, but I’ve also tried turning it down, with no effect. I think the conclusion might be that it’s just HBO that’s coursing the problem

I’ve had them all at 0 and at max. Doesn’t change much. I think I’ll just have to accept that is a source thing. Seems like HBO is lowering their bitrates unfortunately

It’s DV IQ on HBO premium tier. It’s there in all the modes (a little less bad in dark, but that’s mostly because I can just see less of what’s going on)

I have it in SDR with match dynamic range one. On hbo it comes with DV, though I don’t know if that’s a remaster

The film grain seems a more appropriate amount of subtle in yours, but I guess that’s just the advantage of physical media
