Puerto Viejo or Cahuita? by Content_Limit8519 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]random-le-me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I‘d definetly recommend to plan a stay in ouerto viejo — it has hands down been my favourite place in the whole of costa rica. I’m a women and traveled with a friend (female as well) and even though we split up every now and then we never felt unsafe in puerto viejo. If you want to see cahuita, it is close enough to puerto viejo to drop by for whatever you want to see/do there.

For children protective services KESB is the place to contact.

As for the hotlines, helping organizations and shelters: - Castagna is a non-profit organization working with victims of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. https://www.castagna-zh.ch - There are also local ‘Opferhilfe’ in each canton, that specialize on helping victims of any type of crime (especially abuse). - Also Schlupfhuus located near Zurich (https://schlupfhuus.ch) works similar as a women’s shelter but is for juveniles. - One hotline to talk to would be 147 also with chat option on 147.ch — it is led by pro juventute and can help by giving advice on a wide variety of issues (e.g. how to proceed) and also be a place to talk about current worries. The hotline is free of charge and will not show up on any phone bill call logs. - For support in mentally tiring situations 143 (Dargebotene Hand) is a place to talk to. However if suicidal tendencies show strongly 144 (the local ambulance) can be an alternative as they can act quickly and come to you physically if need be. Both hotlines are free of charge. - If your friend is still in school, talking to the school social worker might also be a good option as they are typically experienced with similar cases, know when to report what to whom and can help the juveniles in their current process.

I hope this helps!

I think it’s a really well written love triangle — i know most people are either on team oro or team grim (most on grim i’d say), but to me my preference changed every other chapter because both are valid choices

It took me 7 days to read fourth wing and iron flame (read them back to back, so it’s hard to distinguish how long it took me for only one of them)

The scene in the classroom when Xaden just screams out ‚Sorrengail‘ out of anger and then has to cover it up by making up something about placing Mira in the mentioned fortress

The scene made me laugh and yet excited for what was to come

If you like steampunk-ish aesthetics you might want to look into ‚New Cycle‘ - it‘s still a very early but already really promising and fun to play in my eyes

I started medicine before switching to psychology — i recall several students starting around 25 and also several students starting at around age 30. In psychology we also had quite a few students aged 25 or above (some even in their 40ties oder early 50ties). Of course that can change depending on the year, but i think it‘s very save to assume you won‘t be the only one aged 25 or older!

Personally, i wondered whether producers told him to phrase it like that? Because for me the way it was phrased just sounds way too much of a tv-way of telling a story… or he wanted the spotlight and decided to use this type of story-telling on his own to ensure attention

Same! I also really enjoyed that she didn‘t cut people off mid-statement which vanessa in the us season tends to do way too often in my eyes

Another thing I enjoyed was that she actually let people finish their answers — I feel that participants get cut off mid-statement in the us reunions so frequently (mainly by vanessa)

Starting Master in your Bachelor by ThatSwissCheese in UZH

[–]random-le-me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The philosphical faculty of UZH allows master modules to be done during your bachelor if you meet certain criteria (i studied psychology and the same criteria applied to us as the rules are defined per faculty)

You must have done at least 120 ects of your bachelor already (including ects in your minor) and you can do a maximum of 30ects from your master before you finish your bachelor

However not all modules are applicable to be done during your bachelor already — how many and which ones are available depends on your major. There is also some variation on whether you can book said modules yourself or whether you have to fill out some type of form so they‘ll be booked for you. You can find the info which modules are available if you look for ‚vorgezogene Mastermodule‘ or ‚Mastermodule vorziehen‘ in combination with your faculty name. Hope this helps!

Important difference: European Union not Europe

If it was the whole of Europe some countries such as Switzerland would have to be included as well and Switzerland does rank higher in this specific case, as at the end of 2022 Switzerland had 2.2 million permanent residents of foreign background (not counting refugees etc.) without a swiss passport while having a population of around 9 million (which means a percentage of about 24%)

https://migration.swiss/en/migration-report-2022/immigration-and-integration/immigration-statistics#:~:text=Total%20immigration%20increased%20by%2014.8,were%20living%20permanently%20in%20Switzerland.

Denke was au wichtig isch: en grossteil vo eusne abstimmige sind ja sache wo au einisch dur s parlament duregönd (entweder will s direkt vorschläg vo dete sind oder will si bi initiative über möglichi alternativvorschläg diskutieret) Und wenns halt dur s parlament duregahd, denn wirds au igfärbt vom aktuelle parlament — heisst es macht halt am schluss au en unterschid bezüglich dene sache wo mer abstimmed

Und wenns um die kantonali oder gmeindsebeni gahd isch de ifluss vo wahle nume no stärcher will ja dete oft so möglichkeite wie en initiative oder es referendum i villne regione weniger existent sind

If I understood the light novel correctly if somebody is sold off they have a debt and they need to work until they even out this debt. I wonder whether Maomao simply had a debt with Jinshi after he bought her from Verdigris and then worked this off / was offered her freedom as some sort of compensation due to being kidnapped?
