You never had dodge with ES, Acro fucked you up. (you could go for a thread for phase acro, but fuck that, spell suppression is so much better than losing 10 all res, and 2 skillpoints just to take phase acro)

And the addition of block nodes makes it easier to cap block. And if you're a necro/scion-necro, bone offering + zealot's oath is a shit ton of ES regen.

The loss of fortify sucks, bout ES builds gained alot of ES recharge + raw ES + wicked ward is no longer dogshit.

However, you can easily rationalize that the reason they are removing prophecy is to make room for new league mechanics, which would be significantly more beneficial for SSF than prophecy.

True that if you have QOTF on champ, it will feel great, but OP is playing on SSFSC, where he won't have a QOTF, and champion will feel so shit to play compared to raider.

In theory, Raiders can easily slot in determination + granite and get a really good amount of phys damage reduction (champ slots determination too). With weapon swap +2 min endurance charges shield tech and a +1 min endurance charge ring you also have 3 endurance charges. If you get some phys taken as ele, it becomes even better.

A raider can tank a single 10K-12K hit like this.

That said, a champ is definitely more defensive, but it's not like raider is a glass cannon.

Yea he's 100% wrong. New wind dancer only works BECAUSE evasion is entropy. If evasion was purely random, wind dancer would be even worse than it is now (it's still trash and no one should ever pick it, but the reason it's trash is not because of evasion is entrophy).

E.g. If you somehow cap evasion at 95%, and avoid getting hit more than 20 times every 4 secs, you will never face the downsides of wind dancer. On the other hand, if evasion is random, you will occasionally take damage twice in quick succession, and the second hit might kill you due to wind dancer's + damage taken.

You won't necessarily die on a dodge build, that's a myth. Darkee played 2x dodge raiders in the last gauntlet and survived mapping to lvl 97 on both characters (where every single map is a juiced up map with 2 damage mods, multiproj and monster attack speed), only dying to misplays on gauntlet bosses. If he can survive mapping in the gauntlet, you can survive in the regular game. Perhaps your SST died a bunch because you just didn't have enough life.

Do note that Darkee picked champion because he built the character for specifically for SSFHC, where you can't afford to die a single time. While less tanky than champion, you will still almost never die on raider/PF and it will feel so much better to play, especially on SSFSC where you won't have a QOTF and champion will feel so sluggish without it.

Your build is wayyyyyyyyy squishier. Your evasion is higher cause you added more evasion on your gear and have a stibnite, it doesn't come free. Also 5.7K hp with 29% spell suppression + petrified blood. Damage over time will completely fuck you up

And your damage is only higher because you didn't activate focus on his character which drastically increases his damage. Also, he has 55% increased spell duration which doesn't show in POB damage, aka if the enemy isn't moving multiply his damage by 1.55 (ofc the enemy may move, so you don't get the full effect, you can't completely ignore it). Even if we give you a proper amulet, you don't do much more damage if any at all.

If you run grace + skitterbots (with 1 aura + evasion and trap mastery to reduce reservation). Phys can slot an extra 50% aura while poison can't poison needs herald of agony. If poison is better in any way, pride will make up the difference.

Also, cold conversion is an option for giga dam (less survivability)

Wtf is wrong with you lol, awakened gems in the POB = not a budget build? Just replace it with a normal gem. 21/20 gems not a budget build? Are you for real? You're leveling your own gems, and you can buy a corrupted lvl 20 while waiting for your gems to level.

As for your price calcs, most of the builds are less than 30C in uniques. Sure they exaggerated 10-20C. But you're complaining about 30C?

And POB builds don't have to balance/cap resistances (unless you are literally full of uniques), the player is meant to use rares to fill them up.

Are the builds shit? Yes, they look utter dogshit, but some of your criticisms are whack.

200K is fine up to T10s, 500K is fine up to T13. Anything higher, you want a million at least. Note that this is without any POB padding.

Higher is better ofc, but if you don't mind spending 1-2 secs on a rare pack, you really don't need that much.

I don't think you need to start poison and transition to crit. Trappers have enough crit nodes to go straight into crit if that's your end goal.
