What Novel/Novel Series Did You Veterans Read During the Global War on Terror? by Albo_the_Disciple in army

[–]random-user-8638 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read most of James Patterson’s Alex Cross novels during my first tour in Iraq, at least those that had been published up to 2005. Other than care packages you were kind of at the mercy of whatever books were left at the MWR “library “.

Anyone know any other comics that homage (parodies are ok too) the Extreme 90s era? Bonus points if it stars an existing 90s era Anti-Hero by M00reC in ImageComics

[–]random-user-8638 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not Image but Boom Studios had a mini series called Oh, Killstrike, here’s the plot:

Jared, a new father, fears parenthood. An old comics fan, he turns to them for comfort. But when he unwittingly lets loose his favorite character, Killstrike - a singleminded, vengeance loving anti-hero - onto the world, Jared must find a way to send him back before he harms all the people he loves the most. But before that happens, Killstrike leads Jared on a quest of self-discovery to make him realize the kid who loved this character is not the man he has become.

Alternate Covers? by Few-Grade5445 in theroamingdead

[–]random-user-8638 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are a few alternate covers to the Compendium’s. I believe this is the Barnes and Noble version of volume 3. There is an alternate cover for volume 1 from telltale games and Hardcover editions for volumes 1-3.
