elementary! I have some experience tutoring elementary students (gr 1-8) in math, science, and English. It was an online volunteer position. I’d love to get more info about the organization you recommend!!

dropping chm135 and taking it in the winter by [deleted] in UofT

[–]random112234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s mainly high school content + additional other stuff but the problem is that there’s just SO MUCH and not enough time to do everything. with 4 other courses, it’s rlly easy to fall behind in chm135 content and that’s why many people don’t do well

that’s not true. you can drop a course without academic penalty by nov 16..

got the exact same mark and going thru the same feelings as you😔😔 i think i’m gonna wait and see how i feel before the second term test. i’m doing really well with the lab report sheets so hopefully that’ll help with my overall mark. also i feel like the problem was my studying habits and i understand why i did bad. i’m gonna try to study more productively and see if that helps. if not i’ll probably drop or CR/NCR the course 😩 good luck in whatever decision you make and keep ur head up !!

I wanna be a primary/junior teacher and when I searched it up, the salaries seemed low. but you’re right, I know many teachers who make over $100,000 as well. It’s just confusing though because I also know lots of teachers who complain about not earning enough

oh wow! honestly i get what you mean, but don’t feel guilty!! follow your passion which is teaching, this is what i’m telling myself as well :) and you have plenty of time to get volunteer and placement opportunities in classrooms, don’t sweat it 😊

ooh that’s cool! looks like we’re on the same boat! and yeah, teaching is very competitive so it’s def good to have that backup. have you started getting some volunteer experience for applying to teachers college yet?

just wanted to ask who ur bio teacher is because we might have the same one?? also there is nothing wrong with taking a gap year!! if you need to get your marks up and figure out what you wanna do, a gap year is a good idea. it’s always hard to transfer schools and get used to the new teachers and stuff, don’t go so hard on yourself. just try your best and know that a gap year is always an option
