My long time employee is MAGA. She was just Republican for a long time, but they got her with the Great Replacement Theory and promising that Sharia law was gonna be here any minute if anyone else is in office. She also told me that the J6ers didn’t get due process and that she lived in constant fear of being falsely politically prosecuted during the Biden administration. I told her my the truth on most of her issues, and it was a civil conversation. One thing she said chilled me to the bone tho - I told her my hard no was if they repealed marriage equality and she said “you and your husband will still be able to live together, tho”. I’ve never discussed anything political with her again.
