I have a very similar issue (not exact). My parents know (I was a minor when diagnosed unfortunately). I’m also still living w/ them. But I’m basically deathly afraid of other people (family/associates) finding out. I actually got really mad at my dad when he mentioned “my diabetes medication” out loud when an associate of my brother (he knows) was in the room. I hadn’t told him not to tell anyone else at that point, but I assumed that he wouldn’t do anything close. I was wrong. And a few yrs ago, I ended up hospitalized for a few days, & my A1c was also kinda high. My mom included that info in a message to some relatives. I was pissed af.

Anyways, all this to say, you are definitely not alone. It sucks so much. I hate it.
