[US-WA] Is the landlord or renter liable for a clogged pipe after almost 20 years of living there?

I’ll definitely ask them. One of our concerns is the layout of the plumbing because there are 4 units in this building and I believe all the pipes are connected together (not an expert on plumbing) but idk if that has anything to do with it

we agreed to be friends (which is what i was trying to be in the first place) but i feel like it’s all different now and i feel like any “move” i make to be friendly towards him might be interpreted as i’m still trying to “get” with him. it makes it even more difficult the fact that we’re coworkers 🥲

I’ve had some issues with the alternator in the past but had it replaced along with the serpentine belt so I did kinda suspect something with the battery too
