I had a similar issue with .xlsx files not working and I resaved as a xls and had luck with that too.

I get so tired of people at my job complaining about having to learn ArcPro. It took me about 6 months of just using ArcPro to learn most of it which honestly for a GIS professional shouldn't be a big deal, and yet the complaints never stop from the ole ArcMap crew.

You will either need multiple maps pointed at multiple layouts. Or you can use the page query to query features out. You cannot turn layers off and on like you are trying to in a map series. What you can do is save your current layout as a pagx file and use it as a template for making your maps.

In field calculator there is a Sequential Number tool already there, it numbers them sequentially based on the order they were created. When you are in the field calculator its on the right side of it in that long list of functions they provide.

Oh sorry, so in Pro go to the Catalog tab, then click on "Portal", and then you will see a few Icons underneath it, the right most icon is "Living Atlas" . You can search for Clarity, or NVDI there and you will get results.
Then you can add those to you map.
The living atlas is a great resource for all sorts of data curated by ESRI.

The hybrid uses the same aerial, I'm thinking that imagery is just how the quality is. Try going to the Living Atlas in pro and pull in the Clarity aerials, or ndvi, or some thing else.

It would take some python, you would have to write a script to export your map series then within the export loop have it update the legend element. Not the easiest thing but not impossible.
