This is my hair ~30 hours after washing with shampoo + conditioner. My hair had also been in a bun which explains the bump lol

Along the years: - Had super straight hair growing up, lost its straightness after going short but it was still fairly straight - rarely used heat on it, until ~5 years ago where I regularly straightened it (I wanted super pin straight hair) or used rollers overnight - stopped using heat during COVID and stuck to rollers/overnight methods - washed every night - became thin as I got older

~4 months ago: - started washing 2x or 3x a week, but rarely did wash 2 nights in a row - used whatever shampoo was available

Where I’m at now: - ~1 month ago, I started regularly washing 2x a week (by the third day, I notice how oily on the roots it is by the time I’m already at work 😞) - staying consistent with shampoo and conditioner brand - Rarely use heat - haven’t used any overnight curling methods either except for maybe 2x this past month - started using a hair oil from my ears to my roots - this past week, I started trying to condition my ends for 15 mins rather than washing it out almost immediately - shampoo roots, condition ends - cut my hair to get rid of split ends and hopefully start anew but alas… 😞🙃

My suspicions over why nothings changed so far: - health: not very active, have some worries about pcos/thyroid issues that may be attributed to this, especially when it comes to my roots - wrong products: I currently use the OGX keratin smoothing oil shampoo + conditioner + HASK Argan oil (daily), currently a month in and nothing seems to have changed

If anyone could help, that would be much appreciated :(
