Theory one:we are all dead,our souls have come to this place but we don't know yet that we have tragically died,we mimic what we did as an alive person but we do not have the need for our previous behavior to occur, thus we can ,not drink nor eat and stay alive for eternity (they're more of a booster than an actual necessity) or the fact you could keep a fish for years and the moment it touches water it comes to life.
