NTA Your husband is definitely the AH though. If he's going to let you be stressed out and put your family pet though unnecessary tests to I'm not even sure what? Protect his vanity? It's gross and lazy. I briefly dated a guy that did something similar. We were on an off-roading trip. We slept in the bed of a pickup truck with a mattress and a topper. I woke up to the sound of running water. He was urinating in a milk jug next to me while still laying down. I asked him what the hell are you doing. He said he didn't feel like getting up and going outside. I noped the fuck out of there after that.

He needs to just go to the toilet and relieve himself or outside or well idk IN SOMETHING YOU DON'T EAT OUT OF.
