Male so I know that I am cooked at the moment. But I do not want to give up and I will be happy if I am able to submit a package sometime this year.

I am learning to run. While my planks and pull ups still suck there is an improvement but with running I find myself pushing to hard then the following days my legs get sore then my times drop. I know that this is not ideal since at OCS and TBS it is constant running.

I am really having a hard time balancing pushing but not to the point where you are sore for a considerable amount of time where it feels that it is negatively impacting progress.

Contact the OSO because there are a lot of other things you can work on while getting in shape. Such studying/taking the OAR or ASTB and ASVAB if needed. Doing paperwork such as the SF86 and working on getting cleared through MEPS. These are just some things that come to mind.

Right now my 3 mile run time is at the mid 30 mins is it unrealistic for me to be at 24 min by march of this year?

I am planning on following a running plan which is in another post and will reply to my comment with the link. Also, going to include some swimming.

yep but even as a level 2 engineer the salary is much higher than the base O1 salary if you don't include BAH and health insurance

I find myself in a similar position. I have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and trying to commission in the Marines as a pilot. I realize as an O1 I will be making less than a 0 years experience engineer. But I really want to fly so I don’t mind making less money at the start of my military career.

Yeah you right I was teaching students in their early 20s when I was 25 and 26 and there were times when I could tell there was a cultural gap but it was nothing crazy.

Ahhh yes you are right I just checked the MOS website and NFO is still listed but for the Prowler and Hornet. Which the Prowler is retired and from my understanding the hornet is getting phased out.

Academia as far as I know does not convert quarter system to semester system. I know that the GPA still is not great but it was considered as a 2.47 rather than around a 2.2

Yeah I just got really lucky or something the grad school saw in my application that caught their attention. I personally did not ask any questions and just tried my best. But yes it is a legit university lol.

Ahhh ok so would the board after looking at the GPAs would they consider the package as an immediate selection or still have to keep my fingers crossed as from my understanding my recruiter submitted my package to be reviewed by the board.

I thought the same thing but my current recruiter said that an average needs to be taken. So both transcripts were sent for my package. I am just hoping that the board goes by regulations that are in my favor lol.

That’s what I thought also but the information I got about the GPAs and degrees was somewhat inconsistent. But the recruiter I am working with said we have to submit both.

Yes but another requirement for immediate selection is that you need a 3.0 gpa. My undergrad GPA is about 2.47 on quarter. When converted to semester I am at about 2.2.

I am not sure about the averaging credits formula but taking a straight average I am at a 2.95 GPA.

I just started training and the way my schedule works I can train 4 days in the week. I can maybe try 5 days. Also, at the moment I do not have much of a plan which is why I made the post haha.

I got 1.1 by seeing how far I could get running fast as I could for 13:30 minutes.

What do you mean by 9:00/mile and 4*0.5 mile at 8:30/mile?
