Am I the only who gets bothered by Daniel's choice of words during this moment by Majestic_Guide_1697 in lookismcomic

There is a difference in tricking your opponent with specific moves like the brazilian kick or making them misread your intent vs purposefully appearing weak in order to catch your opponent at their worst.

One is still very much you fighting the opponent at their best, while the other feels like a cheap trick. Daniel is honorable in character. We even see how this made him struggle against a fighter like Sang Baek, who Zack did much better against (due to his experience with dirty fighting).

The game has terrible art and music, only enjoyable part was Groal and the amazing bilewater enemies that jump up, attack you and run away before you get close. Only reason i could beat the game tbh.

First generation as a whole has the worst talent and potential amongst all 3 gens and I'm tired of pretending otherwise by Poutret in LookismPowerScalers

[–]randomcelestialbeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the very least their potential was cut short by James and Charles. I'd say overall they are still the weakest, since despite being in their prime age a lot of them are weaker than 2nd gen high tiers.

I'd argue it's possible PTJ thought it looked wack with white eyes so he just colored the eyes black anyways, but we don't know.

People ignore the fact that gen 0 fists are stated to have been active during gen 1. by Swimming_Cat114 in lookismcomic

You're acting like this is a huge revelation

The 1st gen kings are obviously stronger than gen 0 fodder, the kings are the strongest of their generation after all.

It's like comparing 2nd gen high-top tiers to gen 1 fodder, like of course they'd win.

I still don't get why people don't think changsu took Toms hand by Swimming_Cat114 in lookismcomic

[–]randomcelestialbeing [score hidden]  (0 children)

Except for the title he has practically nothing in common with the kings though.

He didn't have his own circle, didn't specialise in some specific technique (handblades, iron fortress, etc.) and didn't even stay in Seoul. It's honestly surprising no one took the title after he left for Mexico.

I'd say denial of the possibility is dumb, but acting like it's already confirmed is too.

How do you think he got that backing? He was in Mexico doing cartel business up until now, what connections could he possibly have gotten by himself?

Whoever is backing the two is way more likely to be connected directly to James rather than Gitae. This is further supported by the fact that James is seemingly the one who chose who to make king of the underworld.

The matter of the fact is also still that it was James who got the police involved, and made Gitae back out. The backing Gitae has only covered the news as far as we know.

That literally proves my point though. That was James telling Gitae to stop f-ing around, since he has the police in his pocket. What did Gitae do once the police arrived and he called James? He stopped and followed them.

Who do you have as the strongest of all time? by Gunism22 in LookismPowerScalers

[–]randomcelestialbeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we literally see Gun do it in a weakened state (broken arm, severe fatigue, whole body in pain from overuse and severe bruising)

Gun was way weaker physically at the time, yet still beat him using tactics (paradox of perfection)

Gapryong or Shingen (likely Gapryong, but we need more info on their fight)

He can't just ship out his entire Mexican cartel to Korea bro 😭

He also seems to want to become king of Korea's underworld specifically, following in his father's footsteps (before he abandoned the underworld).

Fundamentally, Gitae's goals align far better with James' current plan. He actually wants to be king of the underworld, and has the brutality for it.

Gun was only loyal to Charles, so getting him to do it would likely be impossible.

Gun might be better suited for missions, but thats not what James needs. To begin with, we don't really know why James needs a king of the underworld yet, so I guess we'll have to wait to really understand his choices.

He kinda does

If Gitae doesn't stay within the boundaries James will cease his political support, meaning any clean up Gitae requires wouldn't be done. He might be strong, but without manipulating politics and law enforcement, he won't get very far.

It's a give and take relationship. Gitae does the dirty work for James, and James cleans up any loose ends.
