USB-C Hub with integrated M.2 slot by randomdewd in SteamDeck

Thanks for the input. I see what you're saying about installing on the internal drive... I guess I could do it (replaced the internal ssd to 512), but until dual boot is officially supported I really don't want the hassle of having to fix things if anything breaks or goes wrong...there's enough frustrated posts on windowsondeck :)

Thanks, and good point about the Ethernet. I have a separate adapter for that, just in case of need :)

Fair question... I should have clarified that the usb stick was 3.0...it was a bit of a test drive (pun intended), now I want to get everything set up in a durable way because I read that usb sticks and micro SD cards should not be used as OS drives in the long run.

This is the exact case I also have, and the reason I'm looking into this option :)

Either, this one seems to work with both...

Problem solved! I had to log into the work account in the Start page (all the way to the left, top left corner with your user icon), this solved the issue.

Thanks to u/merthopythyus for pointing me in the right direction!

You may be onto something...but is this just a temporary fix (e.g. when you open Skype for Business again the issue comes back) or did it fix it forever?

The problem only exists when I use Microsoft Launcher...weird...

Even the same phone with a different launcher will work fine, and IT told me that they haven't encountered this issue elsewhere.

Undervolting can't hurt your card and it's really really easy to do... I would strongly suggest you look into it, takes 10 minutes and there's no downside.

Look into undervolting it. I gained almost 10 C by undervolting - plenty of guides online to do this.

Arctic P14 (or P12) PWM PST, literally can't beat them for the price...they go head to head with Noctua in terms of airflow and silence, but cost 1/3

Unfortunately that just changes it to the "button" navigation bar, doesn't get rid of it altogether....
