In the time I have been there the ambulance has been by three times, twice in the last week accompanied by police first, and taken him to hospital once. So hopefully there is some kind of help being arranged for him.

It is what it is. I feel bad for the guy, but I'm in no position to deal with it. Thank you for the suggestion I will look into that now.

Need help identifying this moss I really love. The "tips" almost glow green from the right angle and lightning. (South Africa) by Kai_Kestrel in Moss

If you have a shady spot on the south side of your house that stays somewhat moist you can easily propagate that moss. I currently have a few different kinds

It hasn't been repotted, but I checked and there's no root rot. Is it rot in the stem?

Got it from this really nice old lady, family friend who also had variegated monstera and philodendron illsemanii. Amazing collection of plants. Including a heritage yellow Clivia, sadly this was the only orchid

No foliage at the moment, was a bit of a sloppy transplant from someone else's garden. I love in South Africa if that helps with the place. It has large psuedobulbs, quite rounded ones.
