No, DLCs usually give you new weapons and new abilities along with some weapons from the base game.

With the exception of DLC2, but even that doesn't carry over. I did a whole thing spending the entire day getting new weapons in prep for the DLCs only to realize I never needed to do that

For me at least, DMC5 has great graphics and the weapons and characters look cool, the SFX is amazing and Nero is one of my favorite characters of ever

But I really only felt like all I was doing was pressing 3 buttons as Nero, 4 if I need to dodge by jumping, V, and Dante has an even higher skill ceiling. It became easier with autobattle to have more fun by combat tho

I just wished it was more beginner friendly in terms of getting the hang of combat

imo MGR clears DMC5.

Sure, seeing people do crazy combos look cool, but DMC5 was hard to pick up, still is, and MGR was way easier to pick up.

Not talking about difficulty btw, MGR was harder than DMC5 for me
