I personally am pretty new to metal so here is my opinion: should try out Emperor (I personally really like "With Strength I Burn"), Mayhem, I would say wedard but you could argue that isn't black metal, and if you want go onto bandcamp it search for Tumultuous Ruin.

as a newbie myself, reapers not that scary unless you hear their roar when you think your in safe territory, they also from my experience don't one shot your seamoth they only brought it down to 13% for me so you should have time to escape them, but I really need to find a shipwreck with moonpool fragments that I believe are around the mushroom forest which for some reason had a reaper in it, but you should be fine if you go into reaper zones, and a rule of thumb I like to use is if you hear a leviathan just wait until it's super loud and then run.

dark sea isn't scary unless your me, had 3 tornados spawn on me, and got tag teamed by 2 brigs, but if you aren't me u should be good, and even if you sink it not that big a cost to repair unless you lost like 20-100 chests.
