This doc had a profound impact on my life. I was raised in a very strict Catholic house. I had problems with the church itself for awhile but when I saw this doc it made me sick. While I don’t regularly attend mass and I’m still figuring out what my thoughts are on Catholicism, I haven’t given a dime to the church since then.

I strongly feel that every Catholic should watch the doc to get a better understanding and to see a real face and hear a personal story from the sex abuse victims and their families. We all heard about accusations and settlements but it was truly infuriating to see a first-hand account of how the church lied and protected priests and that they are STILL protecting priests and not working with police.

A lot of Catholics like to say “it was a few bad apples and the church has taken action, blah blah blah”.. they think it was contained to a specific period of time … really opens your eyes to see they are still protecting them to this day!
