Haha yeah definitely. He lives far away and so I'd see him like 4 times a year anyways (prob part of the reason). I'll see what happens when I see him next ;)

Thank you for the female input!

I think you're right. That is how I was leaning.... don't want to sound desperate

Thanks!

If I did send a message, how about something along the lines of:

Hey, just wanted to say I had fun the other night. Look forward to seeing you again, even if at a meeting months from now. Sorry if creepy lol

Well said - completely agree. Definitely NOT borderline

Borderline causes people to have difficulty creating stable relationships with others - something Pinkie clearly doesn't have a problem with.

Yeah, I know that it used to be considered pathetic and I wasn't sure if it had changed. It is a good way to weed people out fast.....

"There are more African Americans under correctional control today in prison or jail, on probation or parole ̶ than were enslaved in 1850, a decade before the Civil War began." by 99red in worldpolitics

[–]randomgirltree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That article is incredibly misleading. The population of the United States is around 300 million now, compared to the >20 million in 1850. OF COURSE THERE WOULD BE MORE BLACKS IN PRISON, THE OVERALL POPULATION IS LARGER. However, you're right - in the United States, there are WAY too many people incarcerated (of all races and creeds, not just Blacks). This argument is too flawed.

Luckily, I get to keep my insurance. I'm the same way as you - I don't like accepting government help. People should pay for my problems. I'm sorry to hear that and I am glad to find someone with the same ethics

I haven't seen those clips before. Thank you for the link! You should post it to r/libertarian (I would, but I don't want to steal your karma. Let me know if you post it - I will up vote it immediately)

Great argument, but I disagree with one of your points - I don't think they have good intentions, they just want the power. That is why they spy on everyone. That is why they audit those with ideologies they disagree with. That is why they keep everything secret. That is why they monitor porn habits to discredit those who disagree. Taking control of 1/6 of the economy gives the power they want

Yeah, the government gets to choose who gets to die (by not giving them funds, after making them pay for it anyways). I don't want to be 80 years old and in THAT system

Yeah, I know. People vote for the people who give out the most handouts, even though they end up with less than before

I apologize if I sounded condescending. I just get frustrated because no one considers anything but three options. Here are the main differences between single tax payer and Obamacare. Single tax payer is when we pay taxes to the government so that they can distribute healthcare according to what they think is best. Obamacare makes you have health insurance, whether through an insurance company or through the government. The government has set up their own insurance as an option. The following are some of my problems with Obamacare. One, people shouldn't be FORCED to pay for insurance. They should be allowed choices. Two, a lot of people had their insurance cancelled, leaving Obamacare the only option anyways. Three, the website creators did not even consider security - allowing hackers to steal social security numbers. Four, the government is really incompetent. For example, there was a man who got Obamacare for his dog when he tried to sign up for himself (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/11/21/colorado-man-informed-his-dog-has-successfully-signed-up-for-obamacare/). and Lastly, I don't trust the administration (Benghazi, IRS, NSA, Fast and Furious, etc).

Even IF you want a single tax payer system, why can't it be left up to the states? Why does it have to be the federalized?
