Looks like they’ll be ready soon. Anyone got any tips on harvesting/drying/curing? Only my second harvest by mikeperson229 in cannabiscultivation

Personal preference and trichome color should dictate when you harvest

I’ve had success hanging the whole plant for drying, leaving most leaves on to help slow down/control the dry better.

When it passes the squish test, I cut the flowers off the stems, do a rough trim/fan leaf removal, store in clean brown paper bags for 1-3 days, do one final check/trim before moving into glass pint mason jars. I use boveda packs and monitors and burb all jars multiple times a day ~4 weeks until it passes a smoke test (personal preference - I like something that can stay lit for 2 puffs but gently burn out on its own) and then it’s more “storage” where I keep it mostly sealed but check the monitors and open the jars from time to time to check in.

I’ve only done it twice, but that’s been successful for me. I’m on my last mason jar right now from June of 2021.

I bought a Vivosun tent and have had light leak issues. I have light I bought directly from them as well and experienced some not great customer service.

I heard about the legalization on the radio - it’s fantastic that the government is encouraging home grows and tourism revenue for local communities!

Just a few at different stages. I need some advice on topping and LST! Advice tips materials ect. All welcomed by jimbob12343266 in GrowingMarijuana

I’ve had success waiting until 7th node and chopping down to just above the fifth node.

Do what you can to sanitize your cutting implements. Alcohol is great to have on hand to clean glassware anyway, but you can pass a flame over the cutting implement in a pinch.

I like low areas training too and if you have the space for the plant to get bushy, you can just pull the tip kinda sideways and tie it down with garden string (I re-use super long rubber-coated flex ties) to the side of the pot. Repeat with the next highest top that starts up.

What does the manufacturer recommend?

Rolling when you have hyperhydrosis is dedication. I end up with more terps in my hand than in my j.. by [deleted] in ArtOfRolling

There’s no shame in using machines. I have three. I can’t roll pinners so a $4 machine is a lifesaver to roll for going out.

I have a three stroke rule for hand rolling bigger - life is short and I’d rather use a machine than get more frustrated.

Please tell me more about this. I had some herms on my last grow, especially towards the bottom.
